Digital Marketing Manager – PPC & SEO
Preston, Lancashire | Full-time | Permanent | Up to £32K
We're looking for a Digital Marketing Manager who knows their PPC from their SEO and, more importantly, knows how to turn both into genuine commercial results.
The primary focus of this role will be the management, optimisation, and growth of paid advertising campaigns, particularly across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, for a range of different clients.
With PPC and SEO at the heart of the role, you'll manage and optimise paid campaigns, develop the organic search strategy, and use data to continually improve performance. We want someone who can look at the numbers, work out what they actually mean, and do something about them.
What you'll be doing:
PPC
- Take ownership of Google Ads and Microsoft Ads accounts, from campaign creation through to ongoing optimisation.
- Build, manage, and optimise Search, Performance Max, Display, and remarketing campaigns where appropriate.
- Carry out keyword research and continually refine targeting, search terms, and negative keyword strategies.
- Write and test ad copy to improve click-through and conversion rates.
- Manage budgets and bidding strategies with a focus on ROI and ROAS.
- Monitor CPC, CPL, CPA, conversion rates, and overall campaign profitability.
- Analyse campaign performance and identify opportunities to increase quality lead volume while reducing acquisition costs.
- Run ongoing A/B testing across campaigns, ads, audiences, and landing pages.
- Make sure conversion tracking is accurate and giving you the data you need to make good decisions.
- Look beyond the initial lead and analyse lead quality, sales conversion, and ultimately revenue.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
