The Role

The role plays a central role in helping the firm maximise the visibility, reach and effectiveness of its content, campaigns and thought leadership across digital channels.

Working with Communications, Marketing and Business Development, practice groups, sectors and external agencies, the role is responsible for planning, delivering, optimising and reporting on digital marketing activity that supports the firm's strategic priorities and enhances engagement with target audiences. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, using data, insight and digital channel expertise to improve campaign performance, strengthen audience engagement and support the firm's reputation and growth ambitions.

The Role Will Involve

  • Digital Campaign Delivery and Optimisation: planning, managing and optimising digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels to maximise visibility, engagement and return on investment.
  • Paid Social Media Management: developing, executing and continuously improving paid social media activity to support firmwide campaigns, events, recruitment initiatives and thought leadership programmes.
  • Search and Audience Growth: supporting the firm's search engine optimisation (SEO) and generative engine optimisation (GEO) activity to enhance discoverability, visibility and audience reach across digital platforms.
  • Content Promotion and Channel Management: managing the distribution and amplification of content through email, social media and other digital channels to ensure content reaches relevant audiences and delivers measurable impact.
  • Performance Analysis and Insight: monitoring, analysing and reporting on campaign, channel and content performance, translating data into actionable recommendations that improve effectiveness and inform future activity.
  • Podcast Production and Promotion: supporting the planning, delivery, promotion and performance measurement of the firm's podcast programme and other digital content initiatives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver paid social media campaigns from planning through to optimisation, ensuring activity aligns with firm objectives and delivers measurable results
  • Support the development and execution of digital marketing strategies for global campaigns, thought leadership programmes, events and other priority initiatives
  • Explore ways in which AI tools can make digital communications processes more efficient, and the outputs more engaging
  • Manage the promotion and amplification of content across social media, email and other digital channels, ensuring consistent delivery and audience engagement
  • Support the planning, production, promotion and performance analysis of the firm's podcast programme and related digital content initiatives
  • Monitor campaign and channel performance, producing regular reporting and actionable insights for stakeholders across the business
  • Support and continuously improve the firm's search engine optimisation and generative engine optimisation activities, identifying opportunities to improve visibility and discoverability
  • Partner with Communications, Marketing & Business Development and practice stakeholders to advise on digital marketing approaches and recommend the most effective channels and tactics
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, suppliers and technology partners, ensuring high-quality delivery and value for investment
  • Develop and deliver guidance, training and best practice resources to help upskill the wider marketing community in digital marketing disciplines including paid social, search, analytics and audience engagement
  • Contribute to the delivery of firmwide website, content and digital transformation initiatives, providing subject matter expertise and practical implementation support
  • Maintain awareness of digital marketing developments, emerging technologies and industry best practice, proactively identifying opportunities to improve performance and capability

About You

  • Demonstrable experience in digital marketing, with a strong understanding of digital channels, campaign delivery, audience engagement strategies and emerging digital technologies
  • Experience of planning, managing and optimising paid social media campaigns across multiple platforms
  • Knowledge of search engine optimisation and a strong interest in emerging approaches to digital discoverability, including generative engine optimisation
  • Experience of email marketing, content promotion and audience development activity
  • Proven ability to analyse performance data and translate complex information into clear, actionable insights and recommendations (ability to use Power BI will be a plus)
  • Knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, AI-powered tools and technologies, with a willingness to explore new ways of improving productivity, effectiveness and audience engagement through innovation and automation
  • Experience of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while maintaining high standards of delivery
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, influence colleagues at all levels and bring others with them when introducing new ideas and ways of working
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain digital concepts, data and emerging technologies clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience of managing external agencies, suppliers or partners and ensuring effective delivery against agreed objectives
  • A proactive, positive and solutions-focused mindset, with the confidence to take ownership, identify opportunities, overcome challenges and drive continuous improvement
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing deadlines effectively
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions, regions and time zones while also operating independently when required
  • Commercially aware, with a clear understanding of how digital marketing contributes to broader business, brand and growth objectives
  • Resilient, adaptable and enthusiastic, with a can-do attitude and the confidence to navigate ambiguity, embrace change and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
