Digital Marketing Officer (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract)
Hybrid Working | £37,435 – £47,435
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Digital Marketing Officer to join a busy marketing team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is a delivery-focused role for a digital marketing professional who can take ownership of campaigns, drive performance across digital channels, and help deliver increasingly sophisticated go-to-market strategies. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise in digital marketing, paid media, marketing automation, and campaign optimisation, while working closely with content, communications, and business development colleagues.
We're open to candidates from a wide range of sectors. Previous experience in science or technology is not essential. What matters most is your ability to develop, execute, optimise, and report on effective digital campaigns and apply modern digital marketing best practices.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
Digital Campaign Delivery
- Plan, coordinate, and execute multi-channel digital marketing campaigns
- Support the development and delivery of go-to-market activities across a range of audiences and sectors
- Optimise campaign performance through testing, analysis, and continuous improvement
- Work with internal stakeholders to maximise engagement, lead generation, and conversion outcomes
Marketing Automation & CRM
- Manage and optimise marketing automation activities
- Develop automated lead nurture campaigns and customer journeys
- Build and maintain campaigns within HubSpot and associated CRM systems
- Support lead generation and conversion programmes through data-driven marketing activity

Paid Media & Social Advertising
- Manage paid advertising campaigns across platforms including:
- Google Ads
- Paid Social Media
- Display Advertising
- Conduct audience targeting, campaign optimisation, and performance analysis
- Monitor ROI and recommend improvements to maximise performance
Website, SEO & Conversion Optimisation
- Support website management and landing page optimisation
- Conduct SEO analysis and implement best practice improvements
- Use analytics, audience insights, and testing methodologies to improve user experience and conversion rates
- Support content optimisation across digital channels
Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Analyse campaign performance across digital channels
- Produce reports and actionable insights for stakeholders
- Monitor KPIs, audience behaviour, conversion metrics, and channel performance
- Identify opportunities for growth, optimisation, and automation
About You
You are an experienced digital marketer who understands the fundamentals exceptionally well and knows how to turn strategy into measurable results.
You'll bring:
- Proven experience in digital marketing, ideally within a B2B environment
- Experience running successful paid social and digital advertising campaigns
- Strong knowledge of:
- Marketing automation
- Email marketing
- CRM platforms such as HubSpot
- Paid media channels
- Website analytics
- SEO best practice
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Experience using digital marketing data to optimise campaign performance
- Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills
