Digital Marketing & Social Media Executive

Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 DOE

Location: Essex (Hybrid) Full-Time | Permanent

About the Opportunity

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation seeking a creative and commercially-minded Digital Marketing & Social Media Executive to join its marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong social media, content creation and digital marketing experience who enjoys developing engaging campaigns, analysing performance data and contributing fresh ideas. You'll play a key role in elevating brand awareness across multiple business divisions while supporting broader marketing initiatives.

The Role

Working as part of a collaborative marketing team, you'll be responsible for creating and delivering engaging digital content, managing social media activity and supporting wider marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver social media strategies across multiple brands and channels
  • Create engaging content including social posts, graphics, short-form video and other multimedia assets
  • Manage and grow social media communities across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyse data and produce reports with actionable recommendations
  • Plan and manage paid social media campaigns
  • Create content for websites, blogs and digital channels
  • Deliver email marketing campaigns and newsletters
  • Update website content using content management systems
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather content and support marketing initiatives
  • Assist with events, publications and wider marketing projects
  • Research emerging trends and identify new opportunities to enhance marketing activity

About You

You'll be a proactive and organised marketing professional with a passion for digital communications and creating engaging content.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a marketing, digital marketing or social media role
  • Experience managing multiple social media accounts
  • Strong copywriting and content creation skills
  • Experience running paid social media campaigns
  • Knowledge of Meta Business Manager and social advertising platforms
  • Experience creating and delivering email marketing campaigns
  • Experience using platforms such as Mailchimp or similar email marketing systems
  • Experience updating website content through WordPress or comparable CMS platforms
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign performance data
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
