About Beacon Writing Solutions
Beacon Writing Solutions is a specialist UK tender writing consultancy helping health and social care providers win contracts with local authorities, the NHS, and other public sector organisations.
We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Digital Marketing Specialist to lead our digital marketing activities, increase Beacon's online visibility, generate qualified leads, and support the growth of our client base across the UK health and social care sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital marketing strategies across social media, paid advertising, SEO, email marketing, website marketing, and other digital channels.
This is a results-focused role. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate how their digital marketing activities generate measurable awareness, enquiries, qualified leads, and business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing Strategy
- Develop and implement a comprehensive digital marketing strategy aligned with Beacon's business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to increase brand awareness and generate new business from UK health and social care providers.
- Research Beacon's target market, competitors, industry trends, and potential customer segments.
- Develop and execute campaigns designed to generate qualified leads and enquiries.
- Monitor marketing performance and continuously improve campaigns based on results.
Social Media Marketing
- Manage Beacon's social media presence across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
- Develop social media strategies designed to increase brand awareness, engagement, website traffic, and lead generation.
- Create and manage content calendars.
- Write engaging captions, social media copy, and marketing messages.
- Schedule and publish content consistently across relevant platforms.
- Monitor comments, messages, enquiries, and engagement.
- Identify relevant trends, topics, and opportunities that can increase Beacon's visibility.
- Track social media analytics and provide regular performance reports.
Note: The successful candidate will be responsible for the marketing strategy, content planning, copy, scheduling, distribution, and performance management. Graphic design and video production will not be the primary responsibility of this role.
Paid Advertising
- Plan, launch, manage, and optimise paid advertising campaigns.
- Manage campaigns across Meta, LinkedIn, Google Ads, and other relevant advertising platforms.
- Develop appropriate audience targeting strategies for UK health and social care providers.
- Create and test different ad copy, audiences, offers, and campaign approaches.
- Monitor advertising budgets and campaign performance.
- Track cost per lead, conversion rates, click-through rates, and return on advertising spend.
- Identify underperforming campaigns and make data-driven improvements.
- Develop retargeting campaigns to re-engage potential clients who have previously interacted with Beacon.
Lead Generation
- Develop digital campaigns specifically designed to generate qualified leads for Beacon.
- Identify and target care providers, supported living providers, domiciliary care agencies, nursing homes, healthcare organisations, and other relevant businesses in the UK.
- Generate enquiries through social media, paid advertising, SEO, email marketing, the Beacon website, and other digital channels.
- Develop lead magnets, landing pages, campaigns, and other strategies to encourage potential clients to contact Beacon.
- Monitor and improve the journey from website visitor to enquiry and qualified lead.
- Work closely with the business development team to ensure marketing-generated leads are properly followed up.

Website & SEO
- Manage and continuously improve Beacon's website from a digital marketing perspective.
- Develop and implement SEO strategies to increase organic visibility.
- Conduct keyword research focused on UK tender writing, health and social care tenders, NHS tenders, local authority contracts, and related search terms.
- Identify opportunities to improve website rankings and organic traffic.
- Optimise website pages, titles, headings, descriptions, and content for search engines.
- Identify opportunities for new website content and blog articles.
- Monitor Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and other relevant performance tools.
- Track organic traffic, keyword rankings, website enquiries, and conversions.
- Identify and address opportunities to improve website conversion rates.
Email Marketing
- Develop and manage email marketing campaigns.
- Build and maintain relevant email marketing lists.
- Create newsletters, promotional campaigns, educational content, and lead-nurturing sequences.
- Develop automated email campaigns where appropriate.
- Segment audiences based on interests, behaviour, and engagement.
- Monitor open rates, click-through rates, unsubscribes, and conversions.
- Test different subject lines, content, calls to action, and campaign approaches.
Content & Brand Marketing
- Develop a consistent content strategy that positions Beacon as an authority in UK health and social care tender writing.
- Research topics relevant to care providers and organisations seeking public-sector contracts.
- Develop content ideas for social media, blogs, email campaigns, and other marketing channels.
- Repurpose existing Beacon content into different digital formats.
- Ensure all marketing communications maintain Beacon's brand identity and professional positioning.
- Promote Beacon's tender writing services and free tender portal effectively.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track and analyse digital marketing performance across all channels.
- Prepare regular marketing performance reports.
- Monitor key metrics including leads, enquiries, website traffic, engagement, conversions, advertising performance, and cost per lead.
- Identify which marketing channels and campaigns are generating the strongest results.
- Make recommendations based on marketing data.
- Continuously test and optimise campaigns to improve performance.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the business development team to convert marketing-generated leads into clients.
- Communicate regularly with the tender writing team to understand Beacon's services and target markets.
- Provide the sales team with relevant marketing materials, campaigns, and lead information.
- Collaborate with management to develop new marketing campaigns and growth opportunities.

Lead Generation
- Qualified marketing leads generated: 30–50+ per month
- New inbound enquiries generated: 40+ per month
- Marketing-generated consultation bookings: 15–25 per month
- Marketing-to-qualified-lead conversion rate: 20%+
- Consistent month-on-month growth in qualified leads.
Social Media
- Consistent publishing across all relevant platforms.
- LinkedIn follower growth: 10%+ per quarter

Paid Advertising
- Maintain campaigns within approved advertising budgets.

- Increase organic website traffic month-on-month.

- Publish or coordinate 4–8 SEO-focused content pieces per month, where appropriate.
Email Marketing

- Generate measurable enquiries and leads through email campaigns.

- Submit a monthly digital marketing performance report.

- Maintain accurate records of leads and campaign results.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in digital marketing.
- Demonstrable experience developing and implementing digital marketing strategies.
- Strong understanding of social media marketing across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant platforms.
- Experience managing paid advertising campaigns, particularly Meta Ads, Google Ads, and/or LinkedIn Ads.
- Experience generating leads through digital marketing.
- Strong understanding of SEO and keyword research.
- Experience with website analytics and conversion tracking.
- Experience with email marketing platforms and campaign management.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing analytics and reporting.
- Ability to use data to make marketing decisions and optimise campaigns.
- Excellent written and verbal English.
- Strong copywriting and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple marketing activities simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of B2B marketing is highly desirable.
- Experience marketing professional services is an advantage.
- Experience marketing to UK businesses is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of the UK health and social care sector is an advantage but not essential.
- Experience with CRM systems, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Meta Business Suite, Canva, Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similar platforms is an advantage.
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 3 months, you will have established a consistent digital marketing system for Beacon Writing Solutions, increased the company's online visibility, generated a reliable flow of qualified leads, and established measurable marketing campaigns across social media, paid advertising, SEO, email marketing, and the website.
You will be able to clearly demonstrate which marketing activities are generating enquiries and qualified business opportunities for Beacon and continuously improve performance based on data.
