About The Role
The Borgen Project is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Advocacy Coordinator to join our team. This role is integral to our mission of influencing policy change and mobilizing grassroots support for global poverty alleviation initiatives. The Advocacy Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing advocacy strategies, engaging with policymakers, and building strong relationships with community partners. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for social justice, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute directly to impactful projects that promote sustainable development and improve lives around the world.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in political science, international relations, public policy, or a related field.
- Prior experience in advocacy, nonprofit work, or grassroots organizing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to craft compelling messages tailored to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with policy analysis, legislative processes, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proactive approach, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Genuine commitment to the mission of The Borgen Project and a passion for social justice.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute advocacy campaigns aimed at influencing legislative and policy decisions related to global poverty.
- Create advocacy materials, coordinate outreach efforts, and organize events to raise awareness among policymakers and the public.
- Maintain active communication with government officials, community leaders, and partner organizations to foster collaborative efforts.
- Monitor relevant policy developments, prepare reports, and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Build and nurture relationships with volunteers and supporters to expand grassroots advocacy initiatives.
- Work closely with the communications team to craft compelling narratives that highlight the organization’s goals and achievements.
