About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Music Marketing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to promote our artists, albums, and music campaigns. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, creative insight, and excellent communication skills to effectively engage target audiences across various platforms. The Music Marketing Manager will work closely with artists, internal teams, and external partners to ensure the successful launch and sustained promotion of music projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the music industry in China and contribute to the growth of Sony Music’s brand presence in the region.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in music or entertainment marketing is preferred, with a proven track record of successful campaign management.
  • Strong understanding of the Chinese music industry, digital marketing trends, and social media platforms is essential.
  • Excellent project management skills, creative thinking, and the ability to work under tight deadlines are required.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and English is necessary to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience working with artists and managing cross-functional teams will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovative marketing strategies to promote music releases, artists, and events aligned with the company’s objectives.
  • Coordinate with artists, management, and creative teams to craft compelling promotional content and campaigns.
  • Manage digital marketing initiatives, including social media, online advertising, and streaming platform promotions to maximize audience engagement.
  • Plan and execute promotional events, press releases, and media outreach to generate buzz and media coverage.
  • Analyze campaign performance metrics and adjust strategies to optimize results and ROI.
  • Collaborate with sales and distribution teams to ensure cohesive branding and promotional efforts across all channels.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging platforms, and competitive activities to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media, influencers, and industry partners to expand brand visibility.
  • Manage budgets and timelines effectively to ensure the successful delivery of marketing initiatives.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on campaign performance and market trends.
