ShapeBlue Digital Marketing Specialist Opportunity
ShapeBlue is looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Specialist to strengthen our demand generation and digital marketing capabilities, with a particular focus on improving ShapeBlue’s visibility across traditional search engines and AI-powered discovery platforms and generating new leads.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands how B2B buyers discover, research and evaluate technology solutions, and how that journey is changing through tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot and others.
You will lead digital campaigns, optimise our website and conversion journeys, and help ensure that ShapeBlue’s expertise and resources are discoverable, accurately represented and cited across search engines and AI-generated answers. You will work across SEO, AI search optimisation, content distribution, analytics and marketing automation to generate qualified demand and contribute to pipeline growth.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Generation and Digital Campaigns
- Develop and execute integrated demand generation campaigns aligned with ShapeBlue’s revenue priorities.
- Plan, manage and optimise campaigns across Google, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Reddit and other relevant channels.
- Build campaigns around downloadable resources, webinars, solution pages and other lead-generation assets.
- Develop audience, messaging and distribution strategies for different markets, buyer groups and stages of the buying journey.
- Continuously test campaign creative, messaging, targeting, landing pages and calls to action.
- Track campaign contribution to leads, marketing-qualified opportunities and pipeline.
AI Search and Website Optimisation
- Contribute to the implementation of ShapeBlue’s strategy for visibility across AI-powered search and answer platforms.
- Optimise website content so that it can be easily understood, retrieved and cited by search engines and AI systems.
- Identify the questions and prompts potential customers use when researching private cloud, Apache CloudStack, VMware alternatives, infrastructure modernisation and related topics.
- Improve content structure, internal linking, metadata, structured data and technical accessibility.
- Strengthen ShapeBlue’s topical authority, brand mentions and presence across relevant third-party sources.
- Monitor how ShapeBlue, Apache CloudStack and competing solutions appear in AI-generated answers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
