About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Advocacy Coordinator to join The Borgen Project’s team. This role involves developing and implementing advocacy strategies aimed at influencing policy decisions at local, national, and international levels. The Advocacy Coordinator will serve as a key liaison between the organization and policymakers, partners, and community stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of global development issues, and a passion for social justice. This position offers an opportunity to contribute directly to meaningful change, working in a fast-paced environment that values innovation, collaboration, and impact.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in advocacy, policy analysis, or related roles.
- Proven experience in developing and executing advocacy campaigns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.
- Knowledge of global development issues and familiarity with legislative processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and advocacy tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic advocacy plans to promote policies aligned with the organization’s mission.
- Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, government officials, and advocacy groups.
- Monitor legislative developments and prepare briefing materials, reports, and policy recommendations.
- Coordinate advocacy campaigns, including outreach, events, and communication efforts.
- Represent The Borgen Project at conferences, meetings, and public forums to advocate for global poverty reduction initiatives.
- Engage with community members and stakeholders to gather insights and foster grassroots support.
- Prepare regular updates and reports on advocacy activities and outcomes for internal and external audiences.
- Collaborate with the communications team to develop compelling content that supports advocacy goals.
