About The Role

The Borgen Project is seeking a dynamic and motivated [Job Title] to join our team. Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in political science, international relations, public policy, or a related field. Prior experience in advocacy, nonprofit work, or government relations is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to engage with various stakeholders, including policymakers, media, and community organizations. Strong research and analytical skills are necessary to assess policy impacts and craft compelling messages. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, social media platforms, and advocacy tools is desirable. A demonstrated commitment to social justice, global development, and the mission of The Borgen Project is critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute advocacy strategies to influence policy decisions related to global poverty alleviation.
  • Engage with legislators, government officials, and community leaders to promote awareness and support for relevant initiatives.
  • Coordinate grassroots campaigns, including outreach, petitions, and educational events, to mobilize public support.
  • Conduct research on policy issues, prepare briefing materials, and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Manage relationships with media outlets and develop content to amplify the organization’s message across various channels.
  • Monitor legislative developments and provide timely updates to the team and stakeholders.
  • Assist in organizing events, webinars, and conferences to promote the organization’s mission and projects.
  • Collaborate with team members to evaluate campaign effectiveness and optimize outreach strategies.
