Digital Marketing & Social Media Expert
Full-Time | Permanent | Wallsend
£28-£34k DOE Negotiable plus generous benefits package
Are you creative, commercially minded, and passionate about turning social media activity into real business opportunities?
We are a successful energy brokerage with a strong focus on sustainability solutions, and we are looking for a talented Digital Marketing & Social Media Expert to join our growing team in Wallsend.
This is not simply a role about posting content and gaining likes.
We are looking for someone who understands that great digital marketing should generate conversations, create interest, build relationships and ultimately deliver sales leads via your sales funnel creation.
The Role
You will take responsibility for developing and delivering creative digital marketing and social media activity across a range of platforms and mediums, with a primary focus on generating new business opportunities.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing creative and engaging social media campaigns across relevant platforms.
- Creating content that attracts attention and encourages potential customers to engage with us.
- Developing targeted social media outreach campaigns to generate quality sales leads.
- Identifying new audiences, opportunities and channels for business growth.
- Supporting lead-generation campaigns from initial concept through to delivery.
- Creating compelling written, visual and digital content.
- Managing and developing our social media presence and brand profile.
- Monitoring campaign performance and using data and insights to improve results.
- Working closely with the sales team to ensure marketing activity translates into genuine commercial opportunities.
- Exploring new digital platforms, trends and technologies that could help us generate business.
- Helping to strengthen our position within the energy and sustainability marketplace.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with at least one year's experience in digital marketing, social media, lead generation or a similar commercial marketing role.
You will ideally be:
- Creative – someone who naturally thinks differently and comes up with fresh ideas.
- Dynamic – able to move quickly and make things happen.
- Commercially focused – you understand that the ultimate goal is generating business.
- Confident – comfortable reaching out to prospective customers and creating conversations.
- Social-media savvy – you understand what works across different platforms and audiences.
- A strong communicator – with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Data aware – able to understand what is working, what isn't and adapt accordingly.
- Self-motivated – you don't need to be constantly told what to do.
- Results driven – you get satisfaction from seeing your ideas turn into leads and opportunities.
