Key Responsibilities
Marketplace Strategy & Development
- Develop and execute a comprehensive digital platform strategy for Levi’s Europe, ensuring alignment with global and regional business objectives.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities across existing and emerging marketplaces to maximize sales, profitability, and brand visibility.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive landscape, and consumer behavior to inform strategy and maintain Levi’s competitive edge.
- Define the operating model for each platform, deciding where to trade first party, third party, concession, or hybrid, and when to exit a platform.
Channel Management
- Own and manage Levi’s presence on key digital marketplaces, ensuring performance meets and exceeds KPIs, including sales growth, profit margins, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of marketplace accounts, including product listings, pricing, promotions, and fulfillment.
- Ensure compliance with Levi’s brand standards, ensuring a premium and consistent customer experience across all marketplaces.
- Own the channel P&L from net revenue through to contribution margin after platform commissions, returns, fulfillment, logistics, and media investment.
- Own commercial terms with platform partners, including commission structures, funding, joint business plans, and payment terms.
- Manage the trade investment and markdown envelope for the channel, with clear rules on when promotional depth is authorized.
- Own the annual and quarterly channel planning cycle by platform and market, and run a weekly trading rhythm covering sell-through, cover, price position, availability, and competitor activity.
- Protect pricing and brand integrity, including unauthorized seller control, buy box governance, and minimum advertised price discipline where applicable.
Partner Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with marketplace partners and account teams to negotiate favorable terms and secure priority positioning for Levi’s products.
- Collaborate with external platform teams to identify growth opportunities, optimize promotional calendars, and address challenges.
- Drive innovation by partnering with marketplace platforms to test and adopt new features, tools, and initiatives.
- Hold formal quarterly business reviews with each major partner against an agreed scorecard, covering commercial, operational, and content performance.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead and inspire a team of marketplace managers and specialists, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and performance excellence.
- Partner with Levi’s digital marketing, supply chain, merchandising, and analytics teams to optimize marketplace performance.
- Collaborate with global teams to align strategies and share best practices.
- Design and build the team structure required to support the channel's growth, hiring, developing, and retaining marketplace specialists.
- Manage channel conflict with direct-to-consumer and wholesale constructively, under agreed rules on assortment overlap and promotional calendars.
Performance Optimization
- Leverage analytics and reporting to monitor marketplace performance, identifying areas for improvement in assortment, pricing, fulfillment, and customer engagement.
- Implement strategies to optimize conversion rates, reduce returns, and enhance profitability.
- Use insights to inform product development, inventory planning, and promotional strategies.
- Own the retail media strategy and budget in partnership with marketing, covering sponsored placements, platform campaigns, and joint seasonal moments, judged on incremental contribution rather than return on ad spend alone.
- Own product content quality and platform search performance, including attribution, imagery standards, keyword coverage, and localization across markets.
- Establish a single source of truth for channel performance reporting, removing reliance on manual platform exports.

Operational Excellence
- Ensure smooth operations across all marketplace channels, including product onboarding, inventory management, and fulfillment coordination.
- Drive operational efficiencies through process improvement and automation where applicable.
- Mitigate risks and resolve issues proactively, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
- Partner with demand planning and supply chain on forecast accuracy, replenishment cadence, cancellation rates, and returns handling.
- Ensure compliance across the channel, including European consumer law, product data requirements, sustainability claims, and platform policy obligations.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Digital Commerce, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in digital commerce, marketplace management, or related roles within consumer goods or retail industries.
- Proven success in managing and scaling business on European digital marketplaces (e.g., Zalando, Amazon, ASOS).
- Strong knowledge of European marketplace regulations, trends, and consumer preferences.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strategic thinker with hands-on operational expertise in marketplace management.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills with external partners.
- Ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve ambitious goals.
- Expertise in e-commerce tools, marketplace dashboards, and analytics platforms.
Preferred:
- Experience with premium or lifestyle brands in the fashion or apparel industry.
- Knowledge of marketplace advertising strategies (e.g., Amazon Advertising, Zalando Marketing Services).
- Fluency in one or more European languages is a plus.
