Are you a creative digital enthusiast with a passion for web management and social media? We’re looking for a Digital Media Assistant to help bring our online presence to life. This hands-on role is perfect for a collaborative self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced marketing environment and is excited to help shape the digital journey of our future students.

Working within the Brand, Communications and Marketing directorate, you will support the Digital Media Team in maintaining, optimising, and growing BNU’s website and social media profiles. From crafting eye-catching organic posts and scheduling content, to actioning website updates via CMS and collaborating directly with our Student Ambassadors, your day-to-day work will directly impact how prospective students see and experience BNU.

Job Purpose

The Digital Media Assistant supports the Digital Media Team in maintaining, optimising, and growing BNU’s website and social media profiles to drive student engagement and conversion. The role holder actions website updates via CMS, designs and schedules compelling content, supports with the management of peer-to-peer platforms, and collaborates with Student Ambassadors on content creation.


Main Duties And Responsibilities

  • To work with colleagues in the Brand, Communications and Marketing Directorate to develop integrated marketing campaigns.
  • To update and maintain the University’s website using a Content Management System.
  • To support the digital activities to drive engagement and conversion.
  • To create engaging content and analyse its performance across social media channels.
  • To maintain a social media calendar and ensure a consistent posting schedule. Scheduling and publishing social media posts using appropriate tools and platforms.
  • To assist with the set-up and management of paid social media campaigns when required.
  • To assist with the development of new features and the enhancement of the user experience on the BNU website.
  • To assist with the maintenance and development of the university’s peer-to-peer online platform (Unibuddy).
  • To provide CMS and social media training to colleagues across the University when required.
  • To assist with the implementation of SEO best practices.
  • To work closely with Student Ambassadors on content creation for BNU’s digital channels.
  • To ensure that all digital content is accurate, current and appropriate to the audience.
  • To ensure consistency of the BNU brand across all aspects of digital channels, ensuring that the University’s Brand Guidelines are followed.
