Freelance Digital Media Editor/Videographer
Mansfield Town Football Club is looking to recruit a freelance digital media editor/videographer to be part of a hard-working team, responsible for filming and editing video-based content for the club’s digital channels.
This freelance role is predominantly a matchday role and applicants must therefore be available for all first team games – both home and away – for the entirety of the 2026-27 season.
The successful candidate will be qualified in a relevant filming/editing/production discipline and have strong experience using Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects. In this varied role, you will be responsible for a combination of fast-paced content, commercial videos, partner activations, social content, and more.
Essential Skills and Responsibilities
- Hold a relevant qualification in video production, filming, editing, or media-related technologies.
- A strong passion and working knowledge of football.
- Create engaging video content by filming and editing creative material for the club’s official social media channels — covering both football and non-football content — as well as for the club’s online premium broadcast channel, iFollow Stags.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, and After Effects, with an up-to-date understanding of modern production techniques.
- Proficiency with professional journalist-style and cinema cameras, and stabilisation tools. Strong understanding of framing, composition, audio, and lighting, demonstrating strong camera operation skills.
- Utilise multi-camera editing skills and maintain a solid understanding of standard video formats, media principles, and media conversion workflows, ensuring the correct output for each platform.
- Film the match from the vantage point of pitchside and film post-match interviews with management/players.
- Support media and commercial teams by producing adverts, promotional videos, and PR features aimed towards achieving online KPIs and enhancing marketing campaigns.
- Develop and enhance audio-visual football content, including player interviews, signing announcements, match-related pieces, and behind-the-scenes features.
- Contribute fresh, innovative ideas to help grow and elevate the club’s social media presence.
- Attend club events to assist with media filming across official digital channels.
- Ensure proper maintenance of all equipment and software, including cameras, accessories, and relevant technical tools.
- Manage, maintain, and upload content into necessary backend content-management systems.
- A full, clean UK driving licence.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
