We’re looking for a Digital Media Lead to join our International Paid Search team, working on our Third Party marketplaces channel. Based from NEXT Head Office in Enderby, Leicestershire!

The Role

As a Digital Media Lead in Paid Search, you will act as the driving force behind our third party retail media strategy within the eCommerce department, reporting directly to the Digital Media Manager. In this pivotal role, you will develop and deliver high impact campaigns across major marketplace platforms, including Amazon, Zalando, About You, and Otto, to generate incremental revenue and maximize profitability.

Leveraging your extensive experience in managing large scale, high budget paid search accounts or retail media activations, you will deploy your deep technical knowledge and results-oriented mindset to work accurately at pace. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with our media agencies and marketplace partners while leading a dedicated team to deliver exceptional, fast-paced and precise campaign performance.

What You’ll Take On

  • Plan, build, and execute highly profitable performance campaigns in collaboration with key internal stakeholders.
  • Implement effective strategies to maximize product visibility, improve search rankings, and drive high-intent traffic to product listings across multiple third-party platforms.
  • Oversee daily activity and collaborate with partner agencies and the in-house team to continuously optimize campaign performance.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of 4 digital media professionals.
  • Cultivate and direct the relationships with our media agency and key marketplace partners.
  • Partner with the wider marketing and commercial trading teams to ensure retail media activity supports broader business goals.
  • Manage comprehensive performance reporting for all third-party channels. Regularly present key findings, insights, and strategic recommendations to the wider business.
  • Work closely with marketplace partners to identify, test, and scale new opportunities.
  • Stay up to date with the rapidly evolving retail media landscape and industry best practices.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven extensive experience in digital performance media, with a minimum of 3 years specifically in retail media or paid search.
  • Proven track record of planning, optimizing, and managing large scale performance digital media activations with significant budgets.
  • Extensive experience successfully managing external partners and media agency relationships.
  • Strong numeracy and advanced Excel skills; highly logical with a natural aptitude for data and problem-solving.
  • A highly collaborative individual who works exceptionally well as part of a wider team.
  • Experience managing multi-language or multi-region campaigns is a distinct advantage.
  • Experience of working with Amazon in a paid search/retail media capacity is highly desirable.
