Description

LiveLink Technology provides outsourced digital operations support to a major international retail client's online photo products business. The Digital Merchandiser is responsible for the day-to-day online merchandising of this client's ecommerce photo platform, ensuring products, imagery and content are presented accurately, attractively and in a way that maximises conversion and sales. The role sits within a fast-paced, client-facing digital operations environment and works closely with the client's own ecommerce and marketing teams.

This role is remote, with occasional travel to America.

What You'll Do

Cross-Functional & Client Liaison

  • Act as a day-to-day point of contact with the client's ecommerce and marketing teams on merchandising queries and requests.
  • Brief and liaise with internal resources to deliver on-site content.

Site Merchandising & Content

  • In coordination with clients, maintain and update product listings, categories and site navigation across the client's ecommerce photo platform.
  • Optimise product imagery, descriptions and pricing to ensure accuracy and brand consistency.
  • Develop merchandising strategies key trading zones (homepage, category pages, search results) to reflect seasonal campaigns, promotions and stock priorities.
  • Carry out regular site quality checks, identifying and resolving broken links, missing content or display issues.

Trading & Campaign Support

  • Support the planning and execution of promotional and seasonal campaigns (e.g. Christmas, Mother's Day, back-to-school) in line with the client's trading calendar.
  • Monitor site performance, conversion rates and best/worst sellers, feeding insights back to the wider team.
  • Assist with A/B testing of layout, imagery and content where required.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Produce regular reporting on site performance, merchandising activity and campaign outcomes.
  • Monitor competitor activity and industry trends, recommending improvements to merchandising practice.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of merchandising processes, standards and documentation.
  • Provide expertise to development teams to refine new ideas and features for the site.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in an ecommerce, digital merchandising or online trading role (retail, print, photo products or similar consumer sector).
  • Experience in pitching and delivering a site or category vision for a specific target audience.
  • Strong working knowledge of analysing and acting on data.
  • Experience using ecommerce or content management platforms (e.g. Shopify, Magento, or bespoke/proprietary systems).
  • High attention to detail, particularly around product content, imagery and pricing accuracy.
  • Confident communicator, comfortable liaising directly with client stakeholders.
  • Well organised, able to manage multiple priorities and campaign deadlines in a fast-paced trading environment.

Desirable

  • Basic image editing skills (e.g. Photoshop or similar).
  • Experience working in an outsourced, agency or client-services environment.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and their application to product content.
  • Experience within photo products, print-on-demand, or personalised retail ecommerce.
