Digital Operations Analyst

As a Digital Operations Analyst, you will lead and coordinate the team’s business analysts, often serving as a supervisor or project lead. You will be crucial in connecting business needs with technical solutions. You will work closely with partners to evaluate and enhance processes, apply data analysis to spot issues and opportunities, and guide the collection of detailed requirements that support business success. This role also includes planning, collaborating with interested parties, and possibly managing a team of business analysts.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our London office.

What The Day Will Look Like

  • Collaborate closely with in-house Systems Analysts on the setup and management of policy management systems.
  • Coordinate with our internal software provider on changes and improvements to policy management systems.
  • Document business requirements to support effective system administration.
  • Support user acceptance testing for operational system changes.
  • Assist in the creation and management of essential business systems.
  • Act as a champion for our technology, tools, and capabilities.
  • Build, propose, and implement solutions in response to business needs.
  • Liaise with business collaborators to understand system development requirements.
  • Provide operational support to the wider Operations team.
  • Translate user and business requirements into change requests for software providers.
  • Collaborate across functions (e.g. Finance, Management Information, Underwriting, Claims, etc.).
  • Manage multiple tasks and priorities concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Coordinate with other areas of Aon to ensure the effective operational delivery of strategic projects.
  • Support ongoing process improvements and system developments.

  • A self-starter happy to use their own initiative in finding opportunities and reacting to events.
  • Strong Business Analyst experience includes large change programs in a Business Change environment and delivering small changes. This is within a multi-component environment, with a clear view of business and component impacts on large end-to-end processes.
  • Direct experience of other facets of the Software Delivery Cycle such as Testing, Release Management, and Development.
  • Strong experience of using different methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile and production of associated BA artefacts.
  • Fully proficient in BA analytical tools and requirements elicitation techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex business implementations.
  • Strong process mapping experience, BPMN 2.0.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills, irrespective of audience.
  • Adaptability in a fast-changing environment, responding to changing business priorities.
  • Exposure to Project Management and familiarity with project management principles and methodologies.
  • Experience of Data Governance and Data Quality initiatives and their fit within the Change process.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, IIBA-AAC or BCS).
  • Insurance Industry knowledge, including the implementation and operation of Policy and Claims lifecycle administration including financials. Exposure to Xuber4MGA would be advantageous.
