The Vacancy
Help turn data into better decisions and support WGM’s digital transformation.
WGM Engineering, part of RSK Group, is looking for a Digital Operations Analyst to join our Corporate team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role will be based on a hybrid working arrangement, with office days at our Glasgow Office.
WGM is growing through secured long-term frameworks across the UK water sector. We have been named as one of Scottish Water’s preferred Asset Delivery Partners for SR27, alongside major framework wins and multi-year programmes with United Utilities and Southern Water in England.
For our people, this means long-term career security, bigger project exposure, technical development, room to progress and the chance to help shape a growing business. With work across Scotland and England, there is also opportunity to build experience across different clients, frameworks, sites and regions, where role requirements allow.
As WGM continues to grow, we are also transforming how we operate, underpinned by our One Team culture and a wider digital transformation programme. This includes day-to-day digitalisation, ERP migration, greater client and partner integration and the trial and deployment of AI-enabled solutions.
Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst, the Digital Operations Analyst will support the data, dashboards and digital tools used throughout the business. You will be responsible for maintaining and updating the information that drives these solutions, supporting users and helping ensure our reporting remains accurate, reliable and effective.

- Identifying data issues and working with relevant teams to resolve them.
- Liaising with third-party providers where system changes or technical support are required.
- With training and support, developing new tools and solutions using Microsoft 365 Apps and Services, Power BI and other relevant technologies.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
