Digital Performance Analyst
On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a Digital Performance Analyst for a 12 month (Inside IR35) contract. Hybrid working from any DWP hub in Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield.
The role
Within Working Age Services we have several product teams creating services which feed into Universal Credit and other Working Age products and services. Working alongside a Senior Performance Analyst, you’ll help define success measures, create dashboards, set KPIs and performance measures with service teams. You’ll conduct ad hoc analysis using Google Analytics, support the implementation and testing of Google Tag Manager solutions and provide data-driven insights to improve digital services.
As a Digital Performance Analyst, your main responsibilities will be to:
- Develop and maintain dashboards to measure digital service performance.
- Work with product and service teams to define KPIs and performance measures.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis using Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
- Use SQL to extract, analyse and combine data from multiple sources.
- Build reporting and visualisations using Power BI and/or Looker Studio.
- Support implementation and testing of Google Tag Manager solutions.
- Combine digital analytics with user research and qualitative insights to identify service improvement opportunities.
- Translate business goals into measurable performance indicators and actionable insights.

Essential:
- Experience developing KPI frameworks and performance measures.
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Dashboard development using Power BI and/or Looker Studio.
- Experience working with the Google Analytics Suite (GA4, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio and Google BigQuery).
- Ability to translate business goals into measurable outcomes and actionable insights.
- Experience communicating findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
