Digital Performance Manager

SEO, PPC, AI Search & Website Projects

Company

Location: Colchester, Essex, just off Ipswich Road
Working arrangement: Hybrid; Tuesday–Thursday in the office, remaining working days from home
Employment: Permanent, full-time; 5 days per week, 9am–5pm
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Are you a PPC or SEO specialist who wants broader influence? Perhaps you enjoy the technical side of digital marketing but want to work more closely with clients, understand their businesses and help shape strategy. This role offers the opportunity to combine hands-on search expertise with consultancy, project management and client relationships.

Mosaic – The Conscience Marketing Agency is looking for an experienced Digital Performance Manager to help our clients improve their online visibility, generate leads and get more from their digital investment.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded digital marketer to take ownership of SEO and PPC performance, advise clients on website improvements, manage digital projects and help shape how businesses adapt to the rapidly changing search landscape, including AI-powered search. You will interpret data, identify opportunities and explain what clients should do next.

The Role

You will become a key digital partner for our clients, helping them understand their performance, identify opportunities and deliver improvements. Your role will include:

Digital Performance & PPC

  • Managing and optimising Google Ads campaigns across multiple client accounts
  • Reviewing campaign structure, keywords, search terms, audiences, bidding strategies and landing pages
  • Using conversion data and analytics to improve campaign performance
  • Identifying opportunities to improve return on investment
  • Producing clear recommendations clients can understand

SEO, AI Search & Organic Visibility

  • Developing SEO strategies based on business objectives and search behaviour
  • Carrying out keyword research, competitor analysis and website audits
  • Identifying improvements to content, technical SEO, website structure and user experience
  • Monitoring search performance and translating insights into practical actions
  • Exploring how businesses can improve visibility within AI search platforms and emerging search technologies

Website Projects

  • Managing website projects from brief through development, testing and launch
  • Working with our developers, designers and clients to ensure projects are delivered successfully
  • Understanding technical requirements, user experience and search considerations
  • Supporting ongoing website improvements and optimisation

Client Relationships & Reporting

  • Acting as a trusted digital adviser to clients
  • Running digital reviews and explaining performance clearly
  • Creating reports that provide insight rather than just statistics
  • Managing budgets, deadlines and expectations
  • Identifying opportunities to grow client accounts

About You

You are likely to be someone who:

  • Has 3–5 years’ experience in SEO, PPC or digital performance marketing
  • Has hands-on experience managing Google Ads campaigns
  • Understands how websites, analytics and search visibility work together
  • Enjoys analysing data and finding opportunities for improvement
  • Can explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical clients
  • Is organised, commercially aware and comfortable managing multiple projects
  • Wants to develop their knowledge of AI search and the future of digital marketing

  • SEMrush, Ahrefs or similar SEO platforms
  • Looker Studio reporting
  • WordPress
  • Conversion tracking and CRO
  • Technical SEO and website migrations
  • Experience with AI tools in digital marketing
