Digital Producer and Editor Working Hours: Full time 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday (Flexibility required to work weekends, bank holidays and additional hours) Salary: Competitive based on knowledge, skills & experience
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Digital Producer & Editor to join a dynamic team at Islam Channel, where you will play a key role in producing innovative content for a global audience. Role Summary We are looking for talented and experienced Digital Producers are passionate about creating exciting, engaging and inspirational high-quality content for a Muslim audience, in the UK and around the world. You will be responsible for producing content from concept to completion. You must have extensive experience inworking on digital projects on different platforms and will be able to juggle multiple deliverables on tight deadlines, while to the highest of standards. As a Digital Producer, you will have a keen eye for visual storytelling and be able to .generate ideas that resonate with our audience, sharing them creatively while maintaining accuracy and a keen attention to detail Reporting to the Head of Digital during UK hours, you are able to fulfil the role responsibilities below. Role responsibilities Create, produce, source and deliver high-quality and creative original video content from concept to completion for Islamchannel.tv and related social media platforms Ensure content adheres to the overall vision of the company in line with the available resources and agreed timeframe and is relevant to the platform and audience Edit clips and third-party footage in Adobe Premier & CC software or Wochit (training will be given), ensuring fast turnaround as required by daily news agenda Identify, verify and source relevant video clips, including handling copyright permissions for UGC content Publish clips to the CMS and video hosting platforms, ensuring appropriate use of metadata Attend daily morning conference and relevant production days to share ideas and work effectively as part of the digital team Generate and share ideas for explainers and original video content, taking into account analytics and other relevant data Be comfortable working with a range of contributors, including conducting and filming interviews Monitor social media analytics and provide regular reports to senior management Ensure all content is approved by the Head of Digital or senior member of the editorial team before publication Collaborate with your line manager regularly to understand company objectives and contribute to digital strategy Skills A Proficiency in additional languages is highly advantageous Experience filming with a range of cameras Working knowledge of project management software Ability to ensure consistency, accuracy and compliance with required regulatory standards Ability to work on longer-form news and features and to manage website content Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent time management skills Team player with a positive, solution-focused approach Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is highly advantageous NCTJ or equivalent qualification or relevant experience with a major online publication Experience A minimum of 3 years of experience of video/media production and post-production experience, filming and editing video content for online platforms Experience in using Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, especially Premiere and After Effects, evidenced by demo reel and/or examples of work
