DIGITAL PRODUCER - BUSINESS HISTORY CHANNEL
We Realise Potential in Your Story
We are a multi-platform production company, social media agency, and digital media network who are currently on a quest to find a Digital Producer to join our Network team and work on the Business History Channel - Is this your next opportunity?
In Autumn / Winter 2026, Little Dot Studios will launch a new YouTube channel focusing on the history of business and money. It will be the third channel launched under a major new company initiative. The first channel, The Archaeologist’s Notebook, debuted in June 2026 and accumulated 500k+ views and 10k subscribers in its first month.
As the new channel’s Digital Producer, you will be one of the creative engines behind the new channel. You will be responsible for transforming stories from the world of business / economic / money history into captivating 20–30 minute digital films. You will handle the editorial process from initial pitch and deep-dive research to final script delivery, ensuring every video balances factual rigour with native YouTube storytelling that drives high watch time.
Beyond the page, you will be involved in filming the videos, which will likely be shot in a set location. You will be responsible for the operation of cameras, lighting and sound equipment, and for data management.
This role is ideal for a storyteller who thrives at the intersection of scholarly detail and digital entertainment.
Please note that this role comes with an expectation of some weekend and evening working. Ideally, the candidate will be based in Scotland.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
