Digital Product Manager

If you’re looking for a career that will help you stand out, join HSBC, and fulfil your potential - whether you want a career that could take you to the top, or an exciting new direction, we offer opportunities, support and rewards that will take you further.

We’re one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with a network that covers more than 50 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Digital Product Manager.

About the Role

Within International Wealth and Personal Banking (IWPB), you’ll join the Messaging and Content team, shaping Group-wide capabilities that power compliant, consistent and customer-centric communications across channels and lifecycle moments. This is a high-impact opportunity at the intersection of customer experience, platform capability, governance and delivery—helping markets and business teams deliver timely, relevant messaging on scalable, future-ready platforms in a highly regulated environment.

As an HSBC employee in the UK, you’ll have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.

Responsibilities

In this role you’ll:

  • Support the product vision, roadmap and prioritisation for customer messaging and content capabilities across channels, aligned to customer needs, business objectives, regulatory requirements and platform constraints.
  • Design and deliver messaging and content journeys that improve customer experience across key products and lifecycle moments.
  • Translate business needs into clear product requirements, user stories and delivery plans, partnering with stakeholders across marketing, UX writing, design, engineering, operations, legal, compliance, data, CRM and customer service.
  • Partner closely with engineering teams to enhance messaging/notification services, APIs, CMS and template capabilities, and workflow tooling to improve scalability, control and efficiency.
  • Ensure customer communications meet legal, regulatory, brand, accessibility and record-retention requirements, including controls for consent, disclosures, auditability and version management.
  • Define and monitor KPIs for messaging performance, content quality, delivery reliability, engagement, customer outcomes and operational efficiency, using insights to inform prioritisation and leadership reporting.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Messaging and Content platforms to support new channels, new use cases and changing customer expectations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
