Founding Digital Product Lead | Remote (UK) | Competitive Salary + EMI Equity

I'm partnering with an exciting, venture-backed consumer health & wellness technology company whose award-winning mobile product has already reached 3M+ users globally, combining technology, behavioural science and immersive experiences to help people improve their mental wellbeing.

They're looking for a Founding Digital Product Lead to take genuine ownership of Product and help define what's next.

This is a hands-on IC role within a very small, early-stage team, working directly with the founders and engineering. You'll have the autonomy to understand the customer, identify the problems worth solving, shape the product strategy and decide where the business should focus.

The Opportunity:

  • Joining a business of around 10 people, so this is an environment where you'll have significant autonomy and influence.
  • The product combines a global consumer mobile app with a proprietary wearable light-therapy device, creating different experiences and use cases that need to work together as one cohesive product.
  • You'll own the what and why behind the product, using customer insight, data and experimentation to understand behaviour, identify opportunities and decide what to prioritise.
  • You'll be expected to get close to customers yourself, understanding who they are, why they use the app and wearable, how their experiences differ and where the biggest opportunities might be.
  • A key part of the role will be understanding how the wearable and mobile app should work together to support different customer use cases, and where there are opportunities to improve the overall product experience.
  • This is a role for someone who can operate without a predefined roadmap, bring their own perspective and work out how to approach problems that aren't always clearly defined.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Owning the product vision, strategy, roadmap and prioritisation across the wider product experience.
  • Speaking directly with customers and conducting research to understand personas, behaviours, needs and pain points across both the app and wearable experience.
  • Identifying and clearly defining product problems and opportunities, rather than simply responding to requirements.
  • Understanding how customers move between the mobile app and wearable experience, the different use cases they support and where there are opportunities to improve the overall journey.
  • Using product analytics across acquisition, activation, engagement, retention and subscription behaviour.
  • Combining qualitative customer insight with quantitative data to understand what is worth solving and why.
  • Forming hypotheses and running experiments and A/B tests to validate opportunities.
  • Taking opportunities from insight through to prototyping, validation and delivery.
  • Working closely with founders and engineering to turn product decisions into meaningful improvements across the app and wider product experience.
  • Using AI tools such as Claude as part of your everyday product workflow.

What I'm Looking For:

  • 5+ years' Product experience, with strong evidence of operating independently as a hands-on Product IC.
  • Genuine experience owning or building a consumer mobile product.
  • Experience across subscription/freemium, growth, retention or engagement.
  • A strong track record of customer research, product analytics and experimentation.
  • Experience owning product strategy, roadmap and prioritisation.
  • Evidence of independently identifying a problem or opportunity, working out how to investigate it and deciding how to move forward.
  • Experience working in an early-stage start-up or similarly lean environment, ideally as a first Product hire, sole Product Manager or Product Lead.
  • Comfortable working directly with founders and senior stakeholders and taking ownership of Product as a function.
  • Strong product judgement and curiosity, with the ability to ask the right questions, challenge assumptions and work out what is worth investigating rather than simply executing a predefined roadmap.
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and without a large Product, Data or Design function around you.
  • Able to quickly understand a new product, its customers and the relationship between different product experiences and use cases.
  • You don't need to be a user of the product or have health & wellness experience, genuine curiosity and the ability to get under the skin of the product is more important.
