Work for Orbit. Believe in people.

The role

Help shape how our customers interact with Orbit.

We're developing the next stage of Orbit's digital customer experience, giving our customers greater choice over how and when they contact us and making it easier for them to access the services and information they need.

We're looking for an experienced Product Owner specialising in Customer Digital Experience to lead this work and take ownership of our Digital Customer Contact Strategy, including the development of our new Customer Digital Portal and digital contact centre capabilities.

This is a strategic Product Owner role sitting within our Customer Strategy team, with the opportunity to influence how digital customer services are designed and delivered across Orbit.

This role is part of our Customer directorate where you'll help us to lead the way in keeping our promise to more than 100,000 customers.

This post is a fixed term contract offering employment for a period of 12 to 18 months.

What you'll achieve

Reporting to the Director of Customer Strategy, you'll act as Orbit's lead business expert for digital customer contact and customer experience.

You'll set the product vision, priorities and roadmap for our new Customer Digital Portal and digital contact centre capabilities, ensuring what we develop is driven by customer needs, insight and evidence.

You'll work across Customer, Technology and Transformation and Data, Operations, Communications and our external delivery partners, bringing together different requirements and translating them into clear, deliverable product outcomes.

Importantly, this isn't about moving every interaction online.

You'll help us create an inclusive digital experience that gives customers greater choice, supports effective channel shift and connects seamlessly with our existing voice, face-to-face and other service routes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
