An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Digital Programme Manager to join a well-established national organisation on an interim basis. Reporting to the Executive Team, you will lead the delivery of a large-scale digital transformation programme designed to enhance volunteering services, modernise business processes, improve user experience, and maximise the value of digital platforms across the organisation. This role will be responsible for overseeing programme governance, delivery, budgets, risks, suppliers, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring successful implementation and long-term benefits realisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving organisational change, supporting senior leaders, and ensuring new digital capabilities are embedded successfully across a volunteer-powered environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a complex, multi-year volunteering and digital transformation programme
- Provide strategic programme leadership, ensuring delivery remains aligned to organisational objectives and priorities
- Oversee Salesforce CRM implementation, including business process redesign, data migration, user adoption, and operating model change
- Manage programme governance, reporting, risk management, and assurance processes, providing regular updates to Programme Boards and Executive stakeholders
- Develop and maintain programme plans, budgets, resource requirements, and delivery roadmaps across multiple workstreams
- Coordinate internal teams, implementation partners, and third-party suppliers to ensure successful programme outcomes
- Drive organisational change and stakeholder engagement activities, ensuring effective communication and adoption of new systems and processes
- Monitor programme progress, dependencies, issues, risks, and benefits realisation, implementing corrective actions where required
- Build strong relationships with senior leaders, operational teams, volunteers, and external partners to support successful delivery
- Ensure programme controls, quality standards, and best practice methodologies are applied throughout the programme lifecycle
- Provide leadership and direction to multidisciplinary project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the organisation's wider digital and transformation strategy

Ideal Candidate Profile
- Significant experience leading large-scale Salesforce CRM transformation programmes within complex organisations
- Proven track record of delivering technology-enabled business change, including system implementation, process improvement, data migration, and user adoption activities
- Extensive experience managing large programmes comprising multiple interdependent workstreams and multi-million-pound budgets
- Strong programme governance, risk management, reporting, and assurance expertise
- Demonstrable experience working with Executive Teams, Programme Boards, and senior stakeholders
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing relationships with external suppliers and delivery partners
- Recognised programme or project management qualification such as MSP, APM, PPQ, ChPP, or equivalent
- Previous experience within charities, membership organisations, volunteer-led environments, or customer-facing transformation programmes would be highly advantageous

- Location: Central London (Hybrid Working Available)
- Day Rate: £650 - £750 per day (inside ir35)
- Hours: Full-time
- Contract: 6-month contract with chance to extend
