Digital Project Manager
Salary: £40,778–£43,000 nationally or £43,903–£45,411 in Greater London, pro rata
Location: Newcastle, York, Manchester, Birmingham, Swindon, Bristol, Portsmouth or Cambridge
Working Arrangement: Hybrid, with flexible working options
Contract: Fixed-term until 30 September 2028
Hours: Full-time
Overview
Our client, a public heritage organisation, is seeking a Digital Project Manager to lead the delivery of digital and technology projects within a wider portfolio of investment in systems, data and digital services.
You will work closely with technology colleagues and business stakeholders to deliver user-focused digital solutions, drive continuous improvement and ensure projects are fully documented and operationally ready. The portfolio covers a range of digital initiatives, including emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Lead the successful delivery of digital and technology projects.
- Manage projects in line with wider digital portfolio priorities and organisational objectives.
- Work closely with technology teams and business stakeholders throughout project delivery.
- Apply agile or hybrid delivery approaches as appropriate.
- Drive continuous improvement and the delivery of user-focused digital solutions.
- Ensure systems and processes are fully documented and operationally ready.
- Manage competing priorities and stakeholder requirements.
- Present project progress and recommendations to stakeholders to support effective decision-making.

Requirements
- Experience managing digital or technology projects.
- Experience using agile or hybrid delivery approaches.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
- Ability to present project progress clearly to stakeholders and make recommendations that support decision-making.
