Digital Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Digital Project Manager to deliver a programme of essential systems improvements across Rotherham Hospice.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will turn agreed priorities into practical, effective ways of working. These projects are fundamental to our longer-term care delivery, organisational development and financial sustainability. We need someone who can quickly understand our requirements, take ownership and drive implementation through to successful adoption.
Key Projects
- Audit: Implement a new audit system to strengthen assurance, oversight and continuous improvement.
- Incident management and risk: Introduce a new system to improve reporting, learning, risk management and organisational accountability.
- Retail: Deliver the implementation of a new electronic point-of-sale (EPOS) system across our retail operation.
- Rostering: Develop and implement a new approach to staff rostering using our existing Allocate (RLDatix) system, working with colleagues to improve its use and effectiveness.
- Finance: Support the Finance team with the implementation of a new iplicit finance system, coordinating relevant activities and dependencies across the wider programme.

Main Responsibilities
- Take projects from requirements gathering and planning through configuration, testing, rollout and handover. Establish clear milestones, responsibilities and measures of success, managing dependencies, risks, budgets and supplier delivery.
- Work closely with clinical and non-clinical teams to ensure systems meet operational needs and improve processes, rather than simply digitising existing practices. Coordinate data migration and integration where required, with appropriate attention to information governance and security.
- Lead the practical aspects of change, including staff engagement, training and readiness for launch. Provide clear progress reports to the Chief Executive, resolve obstacles promptly and ensure each system has a named operational owner, supporting documentation and arrangements for ongoing use.

Essential:
- A proven track record of successfully implementing comparable business-critical systems, including managing multiple projects and suppliers.
- You must be confident translating operational requirements into deliverable plans and managing the full implementation lifecycle, including testing, staff adoption and handover.
- You will be organised, pragmatic and comfortable working independently, with the judgement to escalate issues appropriately.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential, alongside the ability to work effectively with colleagues whose digital confidence and experience vary.
Desirable:
- Experience in healthcare, charities or other complex, service-led organisations, and familiarity with audit, incident and risk management, EPOS, workforce rostering or finance systems.
- Experience of Allocate (RLDatix) or iplicit would be advantageous.
This is a hands-on delivery role, requiring someone who can establish momentum quickly and leave behind systems and processes that work well for the people using them.
