Digital Transformation Reporting Manager – Global Retail Brand πŸ“ŠπŸ›οΈ

Pulse is partnering with a well-known retail brand in the middle of a major digital transformation. For years the business has run on the same core data: what it buys and what it sells. Now, with click and collect live, UK home delivery on the way and a big move from Teradata to Databricks underway, a whole new world of customer and digital data is opening up. They're looking for someone to lead how all of it gets measured, reported and turned into real insight.

This is a newly created role in the digital space, building a reporting function from the ground up. You'll lead a small team of Reporting Analysts and work closely with Transformation, eCommerce, Tech, Product and Business teams. You'll help them understand what's working, what isn't and where the opportunities are. Think moving beyond "we sold 400 of these" to "we sold 400, but 3,000 people liked it, so what could we have sold?" It's a real chance to show the business who its customer is, and to feed those insights back into Retail, Buying & Merchandising and Supply Chain.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
