Role/Team Overview
Sky Media is the advertising arm of Sky; offering brands an exciting array of channels and platforms as means of reaching existing and future customers.
Sky Media represents all of Sky’s channels and sites, including Sky Sports, Sky News, Sky 1, Sky Movies, Sky Arts, Sky Living, Sky Atlantic, and Sky.com. Sky Media also sells on behalf of a host of other famous and renowned brands, including Discovery Networks, Viacom, Fox, and NBC Universal.
Sky Media offers many different ways of connecting with consumers, whether at home or on the move. From traditional spot ads and sponsorships, to advertiser funded content and product placement – all on an ever-increasing array of offline and online platforms.
The Digital Sales team is responsible for the successful monetisation and ongoing revenue growth of all digital advertising opportunities at Sky Media.
This team must manage and grow existing revenue lines as well as outperforming the market in key growth areas such as digital video and social monetisation. The team is also responsible for the successful go-to-market process & monetisation of new products, platforms, and emerging revenue streams.
We currently have multiple vacancies available within the team across both permanent and fixed-term contracts.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the entire account management process from booking to post campaign analysis.
- Develop sales relationships both internally and externally at the appropriate level. Grow revenue by upselling key campaigns or delivering against repeat spend targets.
- Develop the Sales Assistants to ensure best in class representation and service to our customers in order to maximise digital ad revenues for Sky Media.
- Manage delivery, inventory, campaign tracking, and performance.
- Collaborate internally with other departments to deliver strategic strategies and opportunities.
- Develop and share market knowledge and insights to help improve the wider team’s approach and ability to compete for revenue.
- Lead on the PCA process, delivering campaign insight, client learning, and repeat spend opportunities.
- Develop good working relationships with all relevant Sky and Sky Media teams to assist in the selling of digital ad opportunities amongst relevant teams.

Essential Criteria
Reporting to the Digital Sales Manager, the Digital Sales Executive is responsible for supporting the entire sales process from start to finish, both internally for managers and externally for clients.
The Sales Exec must successfully manage all booked campaigns, delivering on key campaign KPIs and upholding a very high level of customer service.
The Sales Exec will also be expected to support the sales process to drive increased revenue, capitalise on reactive opportunities to upsell, and secure repeat spend.

- Excellent account management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, proven ability to form and build relationships.
- Excellent client and Media agency facing Skills.
- Basic experience of sales and revenue generation.
- Good understanding of the media planning and buying process.
- Clear understanding of the Sky Media product range and future developments.
- Sound knowledge of other media marketplace and where Sky Media’s product set fits into that market place.
- Strong administration abilities, keen eye for detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to multi-task, working across multiple campaigns and managing accordingly.
- A self-starter, willing to lead new ways of working where relevant.
- Behaviour to reflect Sky’s values of tuned-in, inviting, irrepressible, and fun.
- Knowledge and understanding of Online media sales.

How You’ll Work
We've adopted a hybrid working approach to give more flexibility on where and how we work. The hybrid working expectations for this role are 3 days in the office per week.
