Digital Skills Trainer/Assessor – Higher Apprenticeships

£28,000 – £35,000 per annum
South Wales | Hybrid with travel approx. twice per week
Permanent | Full-time

Instinct is working with an established apprenticeship and work-based learning provider that is looking to appoint an experienced Digital Skills Trainer / Assessor to support its Level 3 and Level 4 digital apprenticeship provision.

You will manage a caseload of up to 40 apprentices, providing training, assessment, coaching and ongoing guidance from enrolment through to successful completion.

The role covers programmes including Digital Learning Practitioner, Digital Skills for Business, Data Analytics Levels 3 & 4 and Digital Product Management Level 4, delivered through a combination of virtual and face-to-face learning.

The role will involve:

  • Delivering engaging workshops and training across Level 3 and Level 4 digital programmes
  • Coaching apprentices and supporting their ongoing development and progression
  • Assessing learner work and monitoring achievement through e-portfolio systems
  • Creating and developing resources for existing and new programmes
  • Supporting learners across Data Analytics and Digital Product Management
  • Using data and digital tools to monitor learner performance and manage your caseload
  • Working closely with employers and internal apprenticeship teams
  • Ensuring delivery meets awarding body, funding and quality requirements

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A Level 4 qualification or above within Digital, IT and/or Management
  • A recognised assessor qualification such as TAQA or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a trainer and/or assessor
  • Experience working with apprentices or learners and managing their progression
  • Strong occupational knowledge across digital environments
  • Experience managing a digital product or service through its lifecycle
  • Experience using data analytics tools to interpret performance, user or business data
  • Experience using digital project/product management tools
  • Experience using an e-portfolio system
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle

These additional product management and data requirements are specifically essential for the higher-level position, rather than simply desirable technical skills.

Welsh language skills and previous Leadership & Management experience would be advantageous but are not essential.
