Digital Skills Trainer/Assessor - Level 3
£28,000 – £35,000 per annum
South Wales | Hybrid with travel approx. twice per week
Permanent | Full-time
Instinct is working with an established apprenticeship and work-based learning provider that is looking to appoint a Digital Skills Trainer / Assessor to join its growing digital apprenticeship team.
This is a varied role combining training, coaching, and assessment, supporting a caseload of up to 40 apprentices from enrolment through to successful completion of their qualifications.
You will deliver a mixture of virtual and face-to-face learning across programmes including Digital Learning Practitioner, Digital Skills for Business, and Data Analytics, while providing ongoing coaching and guidance to learners throughout their apprenticeship journey.

The role will involve:
- Delivering engaging digital workshops and off-the-job training
- Coaching and supporting apprentices throughout their programme
- Assessing learner work and providing constructive feedback
- Tracking learner progress and achievement through e-portfolio systems
- Creating and adapting digital learning resources
- Using learner data to identify progress, performance, and areas requiring additional support
- Ensuring delivery meets awarding body, funding, and quality requirements
- Contributing to the development of new programmes and resources
We’re looking for someone with:
- A Level 3 qualification or above within Digital / IT
- A recognised assessor qualification such as TAQA or equivalent
- Previous experience working as a trainer and/or assessor
- Experience coaching and supporting apprentices or learners
- Occupational experience within digital / IT
- Experience using an e-portfolio system
- Strong digital skills and confidence using technology
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle

Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, or apprenticeship provision in Wales would be beneficial but isn't essential.
