Job Summary
The Digital & Social Media Manager is responsible for Lighthouse Social’s day-to-day digital presence across social media, website, member-facing digital platforms, and paid digital activity. Working closely with the Head of Marketing & Events, the role translates the wider brand, membership, programming, and commercial strategy into engaging, accurate, and measurable digital activity. The role owns social planning and publishing, website content maintenance, digital member communications, performance reporting, and the day-to-day coordination of new digital systems, portals, and apps as they are introduced.
You will be reporting directly to the Head of Marketing & Events with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Head of Spa & Wellness at Sæl Spa, supporting ongoing digital and social media requirements, translating its events and partnership priorities into accurate, premium, and measurable digital activity. The role requires strong editorial and visual judgment, digital confidence, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple platforms and priorities while maintaining a premium member experience.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Strategy & Planning
- Support the Head of Marketing & Events in delivering the digital, social, and content strategy across Lighthouse Social and Sæl Spa aligned with membership acquisition and member engagement.
- Own a rolling digital content plan aligned with programming, F&B, membership, partnerships, seasonal priorities, and wider commercial objectives.
- Maintain an appropriate balance of lifestyle, membership, event, F&B, cultural, partnership, and brand-building content while identifying relevant reactive opportunities.
- Keep abreast of platform, technology, and digital behavior changes and recommend practical opportunities for the club.
Social Media, Content & Community
- Own the monthly social media calendar, day-to-day publishing, and community management across priority channels including Instagram and LinkedIn.
- Write and edit social copy in the Lighthouse Social and Sæl Spa tone of voice and ensure published dates, prices, booking information, and partner credits are accurate. Obtain the required permissions and releases for members, guests, practitioners, and partners featured in content.
- Act as the day-to-day contact for the external content agency; plan content days, produce briefs and shot lists, track contracted deliverables, and manage feedback/amends.
- Maintain a strong mix of event-led and evergreen lifestyle content and an organized library of approved photography and video assets.
- Monitor comments, messages, mentions, and member-generated content, escalating complaints or reputational concerns appropriately.

Website, Member Portal & Digital Platforms
- Own day-to-day website content maintenance within agreed CMS permissions, ensuring club information, imagery, event content, membership messaging, F&B information, and key landing pages remain current and accurate.
- Work with the Digital Product Manager and relevant internal or external teams on website development, UX improvements, SEO fundamentals, landing pages, and conversion journeys.
- Play an active role in the development, testing, launch, and ongoing content management of the new members portal and other member-facing digital products.
- Coordinate marketing requirements for new systems, portals, apps, CRM, or booking platforms introduced across Lighthouse Social and Sæl Spa, including content migration, testing, user journeys, launch communications, and ongoing optimization.
- Identify website or platform issues, content gaps, and member journey improvements and ensure these are logged, escalated, and followed through to resolution.
- Ensure digital platforms provide a consistent, intuitive, and premium representation of the Lighthouse Social and Sæl Spa member experience.
Member Communications & Newsletters
- Own the build, formatting, scheduling, and digital distribution of newsletters and other agreed member email communications.
- Work with the Marketing & Event Programming Manager, Membership, F&B, and other teams to receive approved copy, imagery, and content inputs in sufficient time for delivery.
- Support the ongoing development of CRM and email marketing capability, including testing, reporting, and improved targeting where systems allow.
- Support Sæl Spa communications across the full member journey, including membership onboarding, events, treatment and class promotion, pathway education, and ongoing member engagement across Lighthouse Social and Sæl Spa communications.
Reporting, Brand & Collaboration
- Produce a concise monthly digital performance report covering organic social, website/digital performance where available, email activity, and paid media.
- Use performance data to recommend what to continue, optimize, stop, or test next.
- Protect the visual identity and tone of voice across digital channels and brief designers, agencies, and creators where additional assets are required.
- Work closely with Marketing & Events, Membership, F&B, Operations, Partnerships, Private Events, Sæl Spa, Digital Product, and external agencies to maintain a joined-up forward plan.
- Maintain relevant calendars, platform records, budget trackers, agency deliverables, and historical performance data.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills
Essential
- Proven experience in digital marketing, social media, content, or a comparable digital role.
- Experience managing websites or CMS platforms and confidence maintaining accurate web content.
- Strong understanding of Instagram, LinkedIn, Meta platforms, and contemporary digital culture.
- Experience planning content calendars, briefing content creators/agencies, and managing publishing workflows.
- Strong copywriting, visual judgment, and attention to detail.
- Experience with email marketing/CRM platforms and digital communications.
- Working knowledge of paid social, performance metrics, and reporting.
- Excellent organization and project-management skills, with confidence managing multiple platforms and deadlines.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of digital customer/member journeys.
Desirable
- Experience within hospitality, luxury, lifestyle, wellness, or private members’ clubs.
- Experience supporting website redevelopment, member portals, apps, CRM migrations, or other digital product launches.
- Understanding of SEO, UX, analytics, and conversion optimization.
- Experience with Meta Ads Manager, Canva, Later, or comparable tools.
- Experience supporting membership or customer acquisition campaigns.

- Successful support of new member portal, system, and app launches and ongoing adoption.
- Consistent delivery and quality of the social and digital content plan.
- Growth in relevant audience, engagement, and digital support for membership acquisition.

- Paid campaign performance against agreed objectives and controlled budgets.
- Effective utilization of external content resource and quality of digital assets.
- Useful reporting, insight, and measurable optimization of digital activity.
- Consistent brand experience across Lighthouse Social and agreed Sæl Spa digital touchpoints.
