Your Impact
Help shape the digital future of one of Leonardo’s most strategically important businesses.
As the Digital Solutions Business Partner for Leonardo Helicopters UK, you will support some of our major programmes such as New Medium Helicopter (NMH), Proteus (the UK's first full-sized, genuinely autonomous uncrewed helicopter) and Rotary Wing Enterprise (RWE), connecting business strategy, operational priorities and programme needs with the digital, data and technology capabilities required to deliver them.
You will build trusted relationships across the Division, identify and shape emerging demand, and ensure investment proposals clearly articulate the business outcome, value, risk, dependencies and sponsorship required.
The role offers a balance of Hybrid working, and although the main site will be Yeovil, there may be occasions where travel to other Leonardo offices is required.
As the Digital Solutions Business Partner, you will:
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with senior business stakeholders.
- Develop a detailed understanding of business strategy, priorities, operational challenges and emerging requirements.
- Identify opportunities where digital, technology and data capabilities can improve business performance or address business challenges.
- Capture, challenge and shape new business demand before it enters the formal demand and delivery process.
- Work with Enterprise Architecture and specialist Digital Solutions teams to assess the impact, feasibility and potential approach for new demand.
- Ensure demand has a clearly articulated business problem, expected outcomes, benefits, value and appropriate business sponsorship.
- Support the prioritisation of demand against business strategy, value, risk, dependencies and available capacity/funding.
- Lead Digital Solutions engagement with the business through the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle, identifying, shaping and consolidating future digital investment requirements and ensuring they are appropriately evidenced, prioritised and aligned to business strategy.
- Maintain visibility of the demand pipeline and provide stakeholders with clear, timely updates on progress, decisions, dependencies and blockers.
- Connect business stakeholders with the appropriate Digital Solutions teams and capabilities at the right stage of the lifecycle.
- Represent business priorities and perspectives within Digital Solutions governance and decision-making forums.
- Communicate Digital Solutions strategy, capabilities, constraints and priorities back into the business.
- Proactively identify and escalate risks, issues or blockers affecting business outcomes and facilitate their resolution.
- Manage stakeholder expectations where priorities, funding, capacity or technical constraints require trade-offs.
- Maintain an effective stakeholder engagement plan and monitor the quality of the Digital Solutions relationship across the business area.
- Support annual and longer-term business planning by identifying future digital demand, investment requirements and dependencies.
- Track the outcomes and business value associated with Digital Solutions initiatives, using these insights to inform future priorities.
- Promote reuse of existing capabilities and solutions before progressing demand for new technology or investment.
- Share business insight, emerging trends and lessons learned across the wider Digital Solutions organisation to support continuous improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
