Our expertise, technical support, and industry-leading service help customers maximise productivity, efficiency, and profitability across major infrastructure, civil engineering, and construction projects.
We are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Digital Solutions Consultant for Specialist Construction to join our growing team.
This home-based national role is responsible for developing, promoting, and growing the adoption of Trimble's innovative technology solutions across the UK construction market. Working closely with key contractors, infrastructure providers, and strategic customers, you will identify opportunities to drive digital transformation through machine control, site positioning, connected construction technologies, and software solutions.
The position requires regular travel throughout the UK and offers the opportunity to engage with some of the industry's largest and most progressive organisations. You will report directly to Strategic Manager and work collaboratively across Sales, Operations, Product Specialists, and OEM partners to support business growth and customer success.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Development
- Develop and execute a national sales strategy to drive revenue growth across the construction technology portfolio.
- Identify and target major national infrastructure projects, key accounts, framework agreements, and strategic opportunities.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and industry engagement.
- Utilise CRM tools to manage customer activity, sales performance, and forecasting.

Specialist Consultative Selling
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them understand how technology can improve productivity, accuracy, safety, and project outcomes.
- Engage with senior stakeholders including Directors, Operations Managers, Plant Managers, Survey Managers, and Digital Construction teams.
- Develop compelling value propositions and business cases to support technology adoption and investment.
Technology Demonstration & Solution Development
- Deliver professional demonstrations and presentations showcasing Trimble's construction technology portfolio.
- Collaborate with technical specialists and operational teams to develop tailored solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Support customers through trials, evaluations, and implementation planning.
National Account Management
- Build long-term strategic relationships with key national contractors, civil engineering businesses, and infrastructure clients.
- Develop account growth plans to maximise revenue opportunities across machine control, positioning solutions, software, and connected site technologies.
- Work with Trimble and OEM partners to identify opportunities.
Forecasting & Performance Management
- Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
- Manage national sales performance against agreed revenue, margin, and growth objectives.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, customer requirements, and emerging technologies.

Market Leadership & Innovation
- Act as a champion for innovation and digital construction across the industry.
- Represent SITECH at industry events, exhibitions, customer forums, and technology showcases.
- Provide market intelligence to support future product and business development strategies.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience in construction technology, machine control, surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or digital construction solutions.
- Successful track record in consultative B2B sales and business development within the construction or infrastructure sector.
- Experience developing strategic customer relationships at multiple organisational levels.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify, develop, and close complex sales opportunities.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a national field-based role.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively.
Desirable
- Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Geospatial Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Experience with Trimble solutions, machine control systems, GNSS positioning technology, digital construction workflows, or construction software platforms.
- Understanding of infrastructure, highways, rail, utilities, and major civil engineering projects.
