About the Role
Our Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeship at Airbus offers a unique launchpad for your career. You'll gain a full "university experience" combined with three years of invaluable, real-world industry expertise, all while earning a full-time salary and paying ZERO fees. During this exciting program, you'll dive into diverse digital solutions and platforms and apply industry-leading project management methodologies to deliver critical business projects, directly contributing to our success and your degree.
You will be at the heart of one of the world’s most advanced manufacturing facilities. Your mission is to learn how to translate complex wing-manufacturing and logistics needs into powerful digital solutions.
You will join a multinational digital community, bridging the gap between our shop-floor production teams and global IT systems. Through a structured apprenticeship, you will master SAP ECC/HANA technology and learn how to manage digital products using cutting-edge Agile (SAFe) methodologies.
Key Activities
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with logistics and manufacturing experts to understand their business needs and turn them into robust IT solutions;
- Agile Product Management: Participate in continuous improvement and help manage the digital Product Backlog using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe);
- SAP Configuration & Innovation: Learn to configure SAP modules that power our supply chain, while exploring innovative SAP technologies (such as SAP Fiori, HANA, and Warehouse Management);
- Testing & Documentation: Design, test, and document new features and system enhancements alongside technical experts before they go live;
- Deployment: Support the rollout of new digital tools across the Broughton site and other manufacturing plants, ensuring users are trained and ready for change;
- Trend Watching: Keep an eye on external digital and logistics trends to help challenge and improve our current business process.

Requirements
This is an ideal role for someone with a keen interest in digital technology, Internet of Things, mobile apps, data analytics, cybersecurity, Generative AI, and future tech.
In order to be eligible for this apprenticeship, you must have a minimum of:
- 3 A-Levels as grade C/4 or above, with at least one in Maths, Sciences, and IT
- OR BTEC L3 Extended Diploma and Cambridge Technical Diplomas in Maths, Science, or IT/Digital subject, at minimum MMM grade
- OR Access to HE Diploma Merit Level in either Maths, Science, or an IT subject
- OR Welsh Baccalaureate with either a Maths, Science, or an IT subject at H grades
- OR Equivalent qualifications/Experience subject to validation
AND
- GCSEs 4/C or above in Maths and English Language
Please note that, due to the funded nature of this programme, applicants with undergraduate degrees in computing/IT are not eligible.

Important Information
- GRADES: If you are on predicted grades, your offer will be conditional to achieving the position’s requirements before the apprenticeship start date.
- SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
- RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK: Candidates must have current legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom for the full duration of the programme.
