About the Role

At H. Samuel, we're proud to be part of life's biggest moments. From engagements and anniversaries to personal milestones and meaningful gifts, our customers trust us to help them celebrate what matters most. As part of our ambitious growth plans, we continue to invest heavily in our digital capabilities, enhancing our platforms, elevating the customer experience, and expanding our eCommerce team. This is an exciting opportunity to join us as we build a best-in-class digital function that will drive the next phase of our growth.

As Digital Trading Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how customers experience our brand online. This is an opportunity to lead the trading direction of one of the UK's best-known jewellery brands, combining commercial leadership, strategic thinking, and operational excellence. You'll work across Ecommerce, Marketing, Merchandising, Analytics, Finance, and Technology to deliver exceptional customer experiences and achieve ambitious growth targets. You'll have the autonomy to shape strategy, influence key decisions, and play a significant role in accelerating H. Samuel's digital growth journey, while helping millions of customers celebrate life's most meaningful moments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Owning the commercial performance of the H. Samuel website, delivering against revenue, conversion, and profitability targets.
  • Defining and delivering the digital trading strategy, ensuring it supports both immediate commercial objectives and long-term business growth.
  • Leading the trading calendar, bringing key campaigns, promotional events, and seasonal moments to life online.
  • Using data, insight, and customer behaviour to identify opportunities, optimise performance, and improve decision-making.
  • Championing continuous improvement of the customer journey through testing, personalisation, and conversion optimisation.
  • Leading onsite merchandising, navigation, search, and product presentation to maximise customer engagement and sales performance.
  • Building strong partnerships across Marketing, Merchandising, Technology, Finance, and Customer Experience teams to deliver aligned commercial outcomes.
  • Providing insight, recommendations, and performance updates to senior stakeholders, helping shape future trading priorities and investment decisions.
  • Leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing Digital Trading team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
