Digital Trading Manager | Peterborough | Multi-Channel Retailer | Competitive Salary + Benefits

Zachary Daniels Recruitment are partnering with a growing multi-channel retail business to recruit a Digital Trading Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a commercially driven retail business that continues to invest in digital growth, customer acquisition, and online performance. With strong foundations already in place, the business is looking for a commercially minded digital trader to help maximise online sales, improve customer engagement, and drive continued growth across its digital channels.

The Digital Trading Manager will play a key role in managing and optimising digital performance across paid media, paid social, CRM, email, display, and organic channels. Working closely with marketing, trading, and commercial teams, you will help turn customer and performance data into actionable trading opportunities.

The Digital Trading Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day digital trading performance, supporting online revenue growth, and maximising the effectiveness of digital campaigns and customer activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day digital trading activity across key online channels, supporting revenue and customer acquisition targets
  • Monitor online trading performance and identify opportunities to drive sales, conversion, and customer value
  • Support the planning and delivery of digital campaigns, promotions, and trading activity
  • Work across paid media, paid social, CRM, email, display, and organic channels to maximise digital performance
  • Analyse key ecommerce and digital KPIs including revenue, conversion, AOV, ROAS, traffic, and customer acquisition
  • Use trading and customer data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
  • Work closely with marketing, trading, ecommerce, and commercial teams to coordinate digital activity
  • Manage relationships with relevant agencies and external partners, monitoring performance and ROI
  • Support customer acquisition and retention activity through effective digital campaign execution
  • Contribute to the ongoing optimisation of the digital customer journey and onsite experience
  • Develop and implement a test-and-learn approach across digital activity
  • Produce regular performance reporting and communicate key insights and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Keep up to date with digital trading, ecommerce, and customer acquisition trends, identifying new opportunities for growth
  • Support wider digital projects and initiatives as the business continues to develop its online proposition

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience within a digital trading, ecommerce, digital marketing, or performance marketing role
  • Experience working within a retail, fashion, footwear, lifestyle, or other high-SKU consumer environment
  • Strong understanding of digital acquisition and retention channels, including paid media, paid social, CRM, and email
  • Commercially focused, with a clear understanding of how digital activity impacts revenue and profitability
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and turn insight into action
  • Experience managing and optimising digital campaigns against clear commercial KPIs
  • Comfortable working with agencies and external partners to drive performance
  • Hands-on and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Naturally curious, proactive, and willing to challenge existing ways of working
  • Comfortable working within a test-and-learn environment and making decisions based on data
  • A genuine interest in ecommerce, digital trading, and understanding what drives customer behaviour
