Digital Trading Manager

Location: London (Hybrid, 2 days per week in the office)

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Digital Trading Manager to join a leading lifestyle accessories brand. This role will play a pivotal part in driving online performance, delivering a best-in-class customer experience, and supporting the continued growth of a fast-paced ecommerce business.

Working cross-functionally with key stakeholders across the organisation, you will own the day-to-day trading of the website, translating commercial objectives into engaging digital experiences that maximise sales, conversion and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the ecommerce trading plan, ensuring digital activity aligns with wider commercial goals and growth ambitions.
  • Own the online trading calendar, coordinating product launches, promotional activity, seasonal events and brand campaigns to drive performance.
  • Analyse trading performance, customer behaviour and market trends to identify opportunities, improve outcomes and support commercial decision-making.
  • Optimise the online customer journey through a test-and-learn approach, focusing on conversion, engagement and retention.
  • Lead all aspects of onsite trading including product merchandising, category management, search functionality, navigation and content placement.
  • Monitor key digital KPIs, providing actionable insights and recommendations to enhance website performance and customer experience.
  • Partner closely with teams across Marketing, Buying, Merchandising, Technology, Finance and Customer Experience to deliver joined-up commercial initiatives.
  • Produce regular trading reports and present performance updates, opportunities and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across ecommerce processes, tools and ways of working.
  • Lead, mentor and develop members of the Digital Trading team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on collaboration and accountability.

About You

  • Proven experience within a Digital Trading, Ecommerce Trading or Online Merchandising leadership role.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a track record of driving online sales growth and improving key ecommerce metrics.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and translate findings into clear actions.
  • Experience managing onsite customer journeys, conversion optimisation and digital merchandising strategies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions.
  • Strong organisational skills and experience managing complex trading calendars within a fast-moving retail environment.
  • Comfortable presenting performance insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Previous people management experience with a passion for coaching and developing teams.
