Job Description

Join a nationally significant defence programme as a Digital Transformation Consultant, where you will help drive the development and implementation of information management strategies within a secure and complex environment. This role offers the opportunity to gain or enhance Security Clearance (SC) and establish yourself as a subject matter expert in information delivery across major programmes. You will deliver across a strategic enterprise driving transformation through business analysis to derive digitisation requirements to deliver measurable client outcomes by developing complex information models.

Key responsibilities

  • Align information and digital strategies with client needs and industry standards.
  • Create and update information models using frameworks like TOGAF.
  • Drive adoption of modelling methodologies throughout organisations and projects.
  • Communicate business architecture from targeted enterprise perspectives.
  • Identify risks and suggest mitigations to information and digital strategies.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, design teams, and contractors for consistent modelling.
  • Run workshops and meetings to promote alignment and engagement.
  • Analyse project data for compliance and insights.
  • Produce reports and documentation to inform decision making.
  • Review colleagues' work to uphold quality standards.
  • Improve modelling services through feedback and involvement.
  • Contribute to bids by highlighting modelling strengths and value.
  • Support and manage team development.
  • Research new technologies for relevance to clients.
  • Represent Turner & Townsend as a digital services ambassador in defence.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Demonstrates a methodical and detail-focused approach, complemented by a proactive and inquisitive attitude.
  • Exhibits confidence in challenging established assumptions and promoting innovation within digital delivery.
  • Displays enthusiasm for learning to use innovative technologies and tools to develop organisational models to inform strategic initiatives.

Desirable

  • Proven ability to engage with senior stakeholders to gather and define requirements.
  • Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and NAF is advantageous.
  • Understanding of modelling languages, including ArchiMate, is considered beneficial.
  • Skilled in developing and maintaining comprehensive models to generate documentation.
  • Experience in utilising information modelling software such as Sparx Enterprise Architect.
  • Experienced in model interrogation and performing data analysis.
  • Awareness of software development concepts is advantageous.
  • Possesses strong analytical abilities, capable of interpreting complex data and producing actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, effective across both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Eligible for SC clearance; sole British nationality is preferred due to programme sensitivity.
  • Previous experience working in defence or other secure/government environments.
  • Experience supporting bid proposals and business development initiatives.
