Digital Transformation Manager – AI & Technology Consultancy
Location: Remote-first, with approximately one day per week in Central London
The Opportunity
A fast-growing AI and technology consultancy is looking for an experienced Digital Transformation Manager to lead client engagements, develop existing accounts, and maximize the performance of a growing consulting team. This is a senior, client-facing consulting position. It is not a purely technical, programme-delivery, or internal transformation role.
You must have significant experience delivering IT or technology transformation within a consultancy, Microsoft Partner, systems integrator, or comparable professional services environment.
You’ll need to understand what excellent consulting looks like: leading discovery, advising senior stakeholders, creating credible business cases, connecting technology to measurable outcomes, and ensuring clients continue to see value from their investment.
You’ll also lead and develop a team of consultants and engineers, including junior talent progressing through the company’s internal academy.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead Transformation Engagements
- Take ownership of technology transformation engagements from discovery through to delivery.
- Work with senior stakeholders to understand their organization, challenges, and transformation priorities.
- Translate technology capabilities into clear strategies, roadmaps, business cases, and measurable outcomes.
- Help clients understand what they should invest in, why it matters, and how it will benefit their organization.
- Provide credible advice and constructive challenge to senior decision-makers.
- Ensure engagements deliver meaningful business value rather than simply meeting technical milestones.
- Maintain high consulting standards across discovery, governance, delivery, and stakeholder communication.
Maximise Existing Client Accounts
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across the existing client base.
- Understand each client’s wider business priorities and transformation objectives.
- Ensure clients can clearly see the value and outcomes being delivered.
- Identify opportunities for follow-on projects, expanded engagements, and longer-term partnerships.
- Work alongside the CRO and leadership team on account planning, forecasting, and commercial priorities.
- Balance excellent client outcomes with strong commercial awareness.
- This is not a new-business sales role. You will not be expected to bring a network of prospects or personally win new clients. However, you must understand how a consultancy operates commercially and how strong delivery can create further opportunities within existing accounts.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Lead and Develop the Team
- Lead, coach, and mentor a growing team of consultants and engineers.
- Set clear standards for consulting quality, client ownership, and delivery.
- Help junior consultants understand the wider business value behind the technology they are delivering.
- Develop the team’s discovery, advisory, stakeholder-management, and commercial skills.
- Improve structure, accountability, and consistency across client engagements.
- Support junior talent progressing through the company’s internal AI Academy.
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex client and delivery challenges.
- Help shape the consultancy’s delivery methodology and ways of working.
The Technology Environment

- Artificial intelligence and AI-enabled solutions

You do not need to be a hands-on developer or a specialist across every technology. However, you must be technically credible and able to translate technical capabilities into meaningful business outcomes.
Direct AI or Microsoft experience would be beneficial but is not essential. Relevant experience could come from transformation programmes involving cloud, ERP, SAP, data, automation, or other enterprise technologies.
What We’re Looking For
This role is best suited to someone who has developed their career within an IT consultancy, technology consultancy, Microsoft Partner, systems integrator, or comparable client-facing professional services business. Candidates from purely internal transformation, technical delivery, or programme-management backgrounds are unlikely to have the breadth of consulting experience required.
