About the Role

We are looking for a Digital Video and Photography Editor to create the day-to-day output of video and photography content across Halfords Retail, Autocentre and internal digital and social media channels, supporting key business, marketing, PR and communication objectives.

Working closely with the Studio Manager within the Halfords internal studio, this role will create and deliver engaging final digital video and photography content to engage Halfords target audiences in a relevant way, aligning with the overall strategy and multi-channel marketing campaigns. This includes delivering bespoke content to be used across social media channels including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn, alongside the website and YouTube.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with a team of creatives to design bespoke post-production edits for both video and photography
  • Utilise the Adobe Creative Suite to produce a wide range of creative and innovative edits, including motion graphics, animations, colour grading and audio mixing.
  • Produce content in a variety of formats and for various platforms across digital and social media channels
  • Produce video and photography content that meet deadlines, are right first time and on brand
  • Act as brand guardian ensuring content adheres to the creative execution, brand and digital strategy, and tone of voice
  • Play an active role in ensuring the maintenance and preparation of all video and photography equipment
  • Contribute to the success of the content function by identifying improvements, efficiency gains, software, hardware and AI integrations
  • Upload video and photography requests in accordance with deadlines, manipulate supplier content to align with our brand
  • Work closely with the Studio Manager to plan and take on a brief/project that requires video and photo support, including the creation of shot lists and storyboarding in the pre-production phase.
  • Be able to output across multiple channels in varying formats including, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Web and more

About You:

  • Experience with content creation and editing footage in both a studio and lifestyle based environment.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud software, predominantly Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop and Lightroom
  • Proficient with creating bespoke animation and motion graphics for a variety of in-house brands, platforms and subsequent formats.
  • Experience in owning the post-production stage, producing final assets for use across multiple channels in varying formats including, but not exclusive to, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Web
  • A creative flair and are able to think both creatively and strategically
  • A forward thinker, exploring and identifying new techniques, industry developments, trends, AI integration, automation and best practices.
  • A self-starter, able to own the post-production phase but also work as part of a larger creative team to ensure end to end alignment of content production.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to deal with external stakeholders and senior management
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines, and at pace.
  • Flexible in working approach and able to problem solve to achieve the best possible outcome
