Who we are 🌍
We’re IAG Loyalty - one organisation with two ambitious, growing divisions across Loyalty and Holidays. Each has its own goals, strategy and team, but together we’re united by a shared vision to create a more rewarding world of travel and experiences.
Our Loyalty division is home to Avios, the global loyalty currency, enabling millions of members to collect and spend rewards across travel, retail and financial services.
Our Holidays division including British Airways Holidays and Iberia Vacaciones, brings together trusted brands, connecting customers to thousands of destinations worldwide through seamless, end-to-end travel experiences. We’re on an exciting journey of growth and transformation – we’re going places.
The opportunity ✨
This is a key role in shaping how our colleagues experience technology every day. As our Digital Workplace & Microsoft Platforms Manager/Lead, you’ll take ownership of the Microsoft estate across IAG Loyalty, setting its direction while staying close enough to the technology to know what is really happening on the ground.
You’ll lead the transformation and ongoing improvement of Microsoft 365, Entra, endpoint and device management, collaboration, identity, security and emerging productivity capabilities such as Copilot. You’ll own the workspace management roadmap, make sure services are secure, resilient and fit for the future, and lead major projects through to successful delivery and stable operation.
This is not a role where you’ll simply manage through others. You’ll lead a blended team of internal colleagues, contractors and strategic partners, but you’ll also be expected to roll up your sleeves, challenge technical decisions, get into the detail when needed and take personal ownership when something needs fixing. You’ll work across Technology, Security, Data Protection and the wider business, balancing colleague experience, risk, cost and delivery to make sure our Microsoft investment genuinely adds value. There’s also an opportunity to shape how the function develops over time, including the potential for the service desk to move into this area in the future.
What you’ll be doing 🚀
You’ll own the technical direction, roadmap and operational performance of our Digital Workplace and Microsoft platform estate, combining strategic leadership with hands-on involvement. You’ll lead a blended team of internal specialists, contractors and strategic partners, making sure there is clear accountability across the service. You’ll drive the workspace management roadmap, lead major Microsoft and workplace technology programmes, and step in early when delivery, quality, resourcing or supplier performance is at risk. You’ll act as a technical authority across the estate, working across Microsoft 365, Entra, Intune, Defender, Purview, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, endpoint management and identity governance. You won’t need to be the deepest specialist in every platform, but you will need the technical credibility to challenge architecture and security decisions, set standards and get into the detail when required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You’ll also help us improve how workplace technology is operated, using automation, telemetry and AI-enabled approaches to make services more proactive, improve colleague experience and reduce avoidable manual effort. Alongside this, you’ll own key commercial and operational decisions across budgets, licences, managed services and strategic suppliers.
What we need from you ⚡
We’re looking for someone who brings strong Microsoft technical depth alongside confident people and delivery leadership. You’ll be comfortable setting direction and making decisions, but equally comfortable getting hands-on when something needs your attention.
- Strong experience managing an enterprise Microsoft 365, Digital Workplace, EUC or workplace technology estate, ideally in a complex environment.
- Broad and practical knowledge across the Microsoft estate, including Microsoft 365, Entra, endpoint management, Office/O365, security and Copilot, with the ability to understand how the different parts work together.
- A strong track record of leading significant Microsoft or Digital Workplace programmes, including setting roadmaps, driving delivery and stepping in to recover challenged delivery where needed.
- Experience improving workplace services through automation, telemetry, AI-enabled operations or proactive service improvement, with a focus on colleague experience and operational performance.
- Experience leading blended teams and strategic partners, alongside responsibility for budgets, licences, managed services or supplier performance.
- A hands-on leadership style: you’ll be willing and able to get into the technology, challenge decisions, troubleshoot and take personal ownership, rather than managing entirely at arm’s length.

We might not be right for you if:
- You only want to focus on your to-do list; we’re a small, high-performing team, we help each other to succeed.
- You value perfection over fast iteration and progress; IAG Loyalty moves fast, we learn and iterate as we go; our environment isn’t right for everyone.
- You’re looking to create but not build; this is an end-to-end role, you need to be comfortable owning your space, from ideation through to delivery and review. If you think you have what it takes but don't meet every single point above, please do still apply. We'd love to chat and see if you could be a great fit.
