Ancestry is the UK and Ireland's largest family history website with over 1 billion UK and Ireland genealogy records available to search. An upcoming project includes the conservation and digitisation of collections held by The Suffolk Archives. The first stage of this major project will be the preparation and digitisation of the original documents. This is an on-site role based at 131 Fore St, Ipswich IP4 1LN, United Kingdom - Suffolk Archives. This is a fixed-term contract that is expected to last 6 months.

What you will do

  • Complete training which includes document handling and preparation
  • Operate and maintain equipment
  • Quality assure resulting images
  • Be accountable for the quality and throughput of your work

  • Previous experience of similar project work

  • £13.50/Hour

Hours

  • 37.5 hours per week excluding meal breaks.
