Play a lead role in one of the most significant natural science digitisation programmes the UK has ever undertaken. As Digitisation Team Leader at Amgueddfa Cymru, you will oversee a team of Digitisers, working closely with the Project Manager and curatorial staff to ensure the consistent, high-quality digitisation of our herbarium and entomology collections. Hands-on and technically confident, you will guide colleagues, maintain imaging standards, and help drive the programme forward — making a lasting contribution to how Wales's natural science collections are accessed and used by researchers worldwide.

This role is part of the DiSSCo-UK project, funded by UKRI. DiSSCo UK (Distributed System of Scientific Collections) is a £155 million, 10-year national programme to digitise and connect the UK's natural science collections, delivered by the UKRI Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) in partnership with the Natural History Museum and more than 100 partners across the UK. This post is associated with the first phase of the project at Amgueddfa Cymru, the Lead Hub of the DiSSCo UK | West consortium, covering Wales, South West England and Northern Ireland.
