DIRECT SALES REPRESENTATIVE – SOLAR & BATTERY STORAGE

Location: Scotland and the North East

Company: Solar Dynamix

Contract type: Self Employed

Working pattern: Full time

Earnings: Commission only

About Solar Dynamix

Solar Dynamix is a growing renewable-energy company providing solar PV and battery-storage solutions to homeowners across the UK. We support our customers throughout the process, helping them understand their energy options and identify a solution suited to their property, electricity usage and goals. As demand continues to grow, we’re looking for confident and motivated Direct Sales Representatives to cover Scotland and the North East.

About the role

This is a field-based sales position focused on attending pre-set appointments with homeowners who have already expressed an interest in solar panels or battery storage. You will meet customers at their properties, discuss their current energy usage and requirements, explain the benefits of renewable-energy technology and recommend an appropriate solution. This is not a cold door-knocking role. Appointments will be arranged in advance, allowing you to focus on providing a professional consultation, building trust and converting genuine customer interest into sales.

Key responsibilities

  • Attend pre-arranged appointments with homeowners across your designated region
  • Speak with customers to understand their property, energy usage and objectives
  • Explain solar PV and battery-storage systems clearly and accurately
  • Present suitable renewable-energy solutions based on each customer’s needs
  • Communicate the potential benefits, costs and next steps in a straightforward manner
  • Prepare and present accurate customer proposals and quotations
  • Answer questions and address customer concerns professionally
  • Build trust and maintain a consultative, customer-focused approach
  • Follow up with prospective customers when required
  • Maintain accurate records of appointments, conversations and sales activity
  • Work closely with the office, survey, technical and installation teams
  • Ensure customers receive a smooth handover after agreeing to proceed
  • Meet agreed individual sales targets and performance expectations
  • Represent Solar Dynamix professionally at every appointment
  • Follow company processes and relevant consumer-protection requirements

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
