About The Role

Are you looking for a role where your expertise can make a real difference across a complex, industry-leading business? Do you enjoy bringing together financial information, challenging assumptions, and helping ensure tax compliance is delivered to the highest standards? At EDF, Success is Personal. Join us and help shape the financial foundations that support our journey to a more sustainable future.

The Opportunity

As a Direct Tax Compliance Specialist, you'll join our Corporate Finance Tax team and play an important role in supporting direct tax compliance across a diverse range of EDF business units. Working closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider business, you'll prepare and review corporation tax returns, build strong stakeholder relationships, and help ensure compliance requirements are embedded across the organisation. Your work will support effective tax governance while helping EDF continue its journey towards An Electric Britain.

Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, this is a 3-month contract opportunity based in London. You'll work in a hybrid way, splitting your time between home and our NovaNorth office, with an expectation of attending the office a minimum of two days per week.

You'll join an experienced team of tax professionals who work across EDF UK's wide-ranging portfolio of businesses. This is an opportunity to apply your specialist corporation tax knowledge in a complex corporate environment, collaborating with senior stakeholders and supporting the delivery of high-quality tax compliance across the Group.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
