Location: London

Market: Pan-European

Focus: Real Estate Private Credit

Cobalt is partnering with an established and well-capitalised European real estate private credit platform to appoint a Senior Vice President / Director to its London-based investment team.

Backed by significant institutional capital and with an active lending pipeline, the business is looking to add an experienced real estate debt professional with strong origination and execution capabilities across the UK and continental Europe.

This is a highly commercial role for an accomplished transactor who can originate opportunities, assess risk, structure financing solutions and independently lead transactions through to completion.

Key responsibilities

  • Originate mid-market real estate financing opportunities across the UK and continental Europe, developing relationships with borrowers, sponsors and intermediaries.
  • Lead transactions from initial screening and underwriting through structuring, credit approval, documentation and completion.
  • Assess property-level, borrower and market risk across a range of real estate sectors and European jurisdictions.
  • Build and interrogate financial models, investment cases and downside scenarios to support lending decisions.
  • Structure and negotiate complex financing solutions, balancing commercial opportunity with appropriate risk-adjusted returns and protections.
  • Prepare and present investment recommendations to internal decision-makers and institutional funding partners.
  • Coordinate legal, technical, valuation and other third-party advisers throughout due diligence and execution.
  • Negotiate term sheets and transaction documentation alongside internal and external counsel.
  • Continue to develop the platform's European origination network and contribute to its wider investment strategy.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
