Director, AI Asset Management

Our Director, AI Asset Management, is an experienced investment professional with a proven record of innovation in academia and industry. You lead the research agenda designed to bridge the gap between investment teams and AI capabilities.

Position Responsibilities

  • Deliver production AI/ML tools to investment teams across equities, fixed income, derivatives, and multi-asset strategies

  • Translate investment research questions into quantifiable, testable hypotheses

  • Publish and present internal research that influences investment decisions

Required Qualifications

Investment Expertise

  • 5+ years buyside or sellside experience across multiple asset classes
  • Deep knowledge of at least 2 asset classes: equities (fundamental and systematic), fixed income (IG credit, HY, rates, mortgages, structured), derivatives (options, swaps, futures — pricing, greeks, hedging), or multi-asset portfolio construction
  • CFA charter or progress strongly preferred
  • Understanding of security characteristics, corporate actions, risk attribution, and the full investment lifecycle

Quantitative Research & Development

  • PhD or MS in a quantitative field (computational finance, statistics, mathematics, physics, CS, or related)
  • Hands-on Python development — ships production code, not just notebooks
  • Experience with statistical modeling: time series forecasting, generative models, adversarial ML, or factor models
  • Familiarity with financial datasets: Bloomberg, FactSet, MSCI, alternative data sources
  • Understanding of data quality, survivorship bias, point-in-time data requirements

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
