OUR ROLE: Senior Director, Analytics & AI Capability Unit

Our Analytics & AI (A&AI) Capability Unit focuses on expert consultancy in data & AI strategy, innovation, transformation, and enablement—helping clients leverage advanced data analytics and AI solutions to tackle complex business challenges.

As a Director in our team, you will:

  • Shape our global Analytics & AI capability with a focus on AI Governance & Trust, including regulation, ethics, risk management, and compliance.
  • Act as a strategic leadership figure across multiple engagements, driven by AI-centred initiatives.
  • Set the direction for teams, balancing business growth with values alignment (Inclusion & Belonging, Responsibility for Society + Future).
  • Develop accountable, high-performing analysts & AI governance specialists who aligned with evolving regulatory trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Strategy: Drive new business generation (>£2M/year) to enhance AI Governance & Trust for public and private sector clients through custom-created solutions.
  • Team Growth: Expand a cross-sector team of AI Governance & Trust consultants—managing performance, mentoring talent, and shaping learning priorities.
  • Client Relations: Build enduring strategic relationships and co-own a sustainable business pipeline.
  • Transformative Influence: Inspire clients to adopt safe, ethical AI adoption—guiding them through governance frameworks and compliance.
  • Innovation Leadership: Co-create inspiring AI propositions, elevating Capgemini Invent’s reputation as a transformative AI partner.
  • Execution: Selling, leading, and managing multi-million-pound AI & data projects for global clients.

YOUR PROFILE

To excel as Senior Director (AI Governance & Trust), you’ll blend leadership, technical expertise, and strategic vision. Required experience includes:

Core Mandatory Skills

  • Strong senior client networks, particularly focusing on AI Governance, ethics, risk and compliance roles.
  • Proven director or senior lead experience in large consultancies managing teams in AI/digital transformation.
  • Deep understanding of emerging AI trends and their governance implications across industries.
  • [Data & AI] Roadmapping Credentials: Direct experience in shaping AI strategies, aligning business vision with data-driven solutions.

Material Commercial & Leadership Expertise

  • New Business Development: A £2M+ annual target through full-cycle account management (multi-sector & client lifecycle).
  • Matrixed Success: Navigating complex, interconnected environments to empower cross-team collaboration.
  • Holistic Influence: Confidence to engage at C-suite to operational levels, empathy for leadership teams, and commitment to tangible outcomes.
